Discovery season is here, bringing some of our biggest opportunities of the year to engage directly with JMP users. Following a successful Discovery Early User Edition online, we’re looking ahead to Discovery in Baltimore this month and Japan next month. And that’s only part of what’s happening across User Enablement, with teams preparing for JMP Live 2027, supporting the JMP 15 transition, working with universities worldwide, and delivering a full slate of user events.
Technical Support and Customer Engagement
In late October, Technical Support, along with the Global Technical Enablement and JMP Live Development teams, will come together for another round of JMP Live Deep Dive sessions. This four-day training covers JMP Live 2027 installation, customer architectures, and troubleshooting techniques, along with a deep dive into authentication protocols like SAML, OAuth, and Direct Auth. It also explores new JMP Live 2027 features—including AI, scripting, and workflow versioning—as well as AWS setup, database permissions, and release planning.
JET will serve as the first tier of support for cases involving the end of support for JMP 15 and all earlier versions. We will actively engage customers who request unsupported legacy versions, provide context on the sunset plan and grace period, and escalate only cases with a well-supported business justification for further review.
Nice comment from AE, Jaci Leavenworth about JET:
Just wanted to give you a heads up that every time I work with your team, everyone is so kind, willing to help, and extremely quick. I try to let them know myself when I work with them, but it doesn't hurt to let their manager know! Thank you so much!
Academic
- Georgia Tech has used JMP for many years in their Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory and in courses for students in the Aerospace Engineering program. A new customer story highlighting their systems thinking approach and use of JMP was recently published and is available at this link. Many thanks to Yan Ying Chen for writing this piece.
- Speaking of Georgia Tech, on Oct. 5, we will participate in the Georgia Statistics Day at Georgia Tech, an annual gathering of university statistics faculty, researchers, and students from the University of Georgia, Emory University, and Georgia Tech. Thanks to Ryan Lekivetz and the Development team for partnering on this event.
- In October in the EU, the Department of Chemistry at NTNU in Trondheim will host a workshop on DOE for Ph.D. and master's students. A second workshop focused on teaching faculty and PhD students will be delivered in Mechanical Engineering at DTU in Copenhagen, Denmark. A third session is scheduled at the Sorbonne University in Paris, for engineering faculty users.
- In recent weeks, the academic team has been visiting universities and providing workshops, including:
- University of Texas at Austin on Statistical Methods in Semiconductor Research and Manufacturing for its new graduate program in semiconductor science and engineering. Texas A&M with a guest lecture in DOE for Chemical Engineering, and Baylor University, where we have over 1,000 active student users.
- Clemson and University of South Carolina. Clemson is one of our largest JMP users, with more than 4,000 new student users every year. We provided workshops for faculty teaching service courses.
- BITS Pilani, the #1-ranked pharmacy program in India, hosted a DOE workshop highlighting Custom Design and Definitive Screening Designs with applications to pharma research.

Digital Experiences
We are reviewing JMP User Community content and making structural changes in preparation for the move to the new platform.
