19.2.1: Security Freeze 10/8/26 • 20.0: open in main; EA7 Code Freeze 10/1/26; Code Freeze 1/7/27
Welcome to the JMP Development Update for September 18, 2026!
QA has now signed off on 19.2 installers. Once all sign-offs are complete, we plan to release 19.2 in MyJMP on Tuesday, September 22. Next week, you can find release notes on this page, and the Security Bulletins will be published on the JMP Trust Center here once installers are released.
We have about 2 weeks before we will freeze for JMP 2027 EA7. Please continue to update your feature pages with important additions and bug fixes!
Thanks very much to Chris Hesser for giving a demo of the new Endpoint Connector feature at this week’s JMP Dev meeting! If you missed it live, you can find the recording here. Prior to the demo, Shannon Leslie also shared some information regarding the deprecation of VMware by SAS and its impacts on JMP. We’ve nicknamed this plan vExit and ask that if you have files or system dependencies on jmptool or jmpsrv01, read on!
As Shannon L indicated in the meeting and an earlier email to Development, SAS is retiring the VMware vCenter that houses jmpsrv01 and jmptool at the end of 2026. As a result, we are asking you to remove your folders and files from jmpsrv01/Users/ by December 1, 2026. Shannon’s slides can be found here and include best practices for using OneDrive to store any files that you need to retain from your user folder.
Shannon L, Audrey, and other DevOps team members will continue to reach out to teams who have tooling dependencies on jmptool and jmpsrv01 to help with migration plans to AWS, OneDrive, and/or SharePoint. Feel free to reach out to Shannon L and Audrey if you have questions or identify dependencies before they contact you.

System/Host Testing
- Mandy: Spent quite a bit of time chasing down an intermittent crash found with an old test - a fun one - turned out to be a legit diff that Dan S. had changed something that caught my attention, but the crash was due to changes Michael H. made to “prevent concurrent first-use races in LifetimeMonitor by atomically publishing its proof-of-life state”. He fixed that, and then we discovered an issue with tests missing from the nightly runs looking for the diff - thanks, Melanie Drake, for all the help there! And we finally got the 2 new Sample data tables pushed to JMP 2027 - look for them: Suntan Lotion Preferences.jmp and Dose Autoinjection.jmp (thanks to ALL that worked on this too!)
- Eric H: 19.2 Installer testing. Investigating JMP 20 beta report feedback (placement of power analysis option in Analyze-Fit model-Mixed model; lack of File->Save As SAS data set (sas7bdat) option. Continued testing for JMP-27403 Login to Snowflake V2 endpoints with public/private key.
- Justin: Working largely on writing automated tests for the new endpoint manager functionality. In addition, I worked on finishing 19.2 installer testing, closing bugs that were returned to me, and tweaking the suffix environment to keep it up to date for automated tests.
- Audrey: 19.2 Final Validation is complete. Interviewing. Reviewing jmpsrv01 files.
Web Testing
- Seema:
- Accepted and Closed:
- PS performance: Speed up regeneration for Semiconductor Capability
- Adding a new status before saving a new order puts statuses back into the pre-saved order
- Security: [nodemailer@9.0.3] - CWE-436 (20.0) (19.6.1)
- Process Screening Triaging - Retrieve warnings payload for each process send
- Consider adding hover help to the on-screen display of processes-with-open-warnings count
- Unexpected behavior when adding a status with the same name as an existing one that has leading/trailing spaces
- "Open", "Investigating", "Addressed" are confusing words for "Severity Level"
- In Progress:
- Improve body of notification email for Process Screening reports
- Show audit-log-wiped record in package and space History tab
- CCB Triaging report doesn't receive all the warnings onload
- Taylor M:
- In Progress:
- Suppress control chart notifications until Production and apply Production-specific rules
- User can update/replace the file in an existing File Post
- Accepted and Closed:
- PS performance: Details for a package regen with many warnings over 64MB download
- Cannot see map files in downloaded project
- Minor GraphQL issues with Report Workflow

- Investigated Bar labeling issues in HTML5.
- Reported axis issues for wrapped role overlap of values.
- Reported issues w/Column Switcher and Surface plot 3D.
- Investigating issue w/Column Switcher disappearing on Redo Analysis in JMP.
- Hui:
- Continued I18N validation for the JMP Live Admin Client; access to the Authorization page in Configuration mode remains the primary dependency for a feature test.
- Continued LDF fine control testing; three major Jira defects were reported and remain the primary quality risk for the feature.
- Validation progression remains dependent on developer disposition of major Jira defects; broader retesting is being gated by remediation planning and re-verification, while isolated issues may be tracked separately if the impact remains contained.
Core
- Dave B: Fixed a couple of scatterplot 3d bugs – markers were too small, topplan included extra statements, and markers were sometimes ignored. Fixed a performance issue with jmprunner builds when there were a lot of warnings during the build.
- Dan S: Fixed some alignment issues and Data Filter "blocks" display issues to better support the Text Size A11Y setting. Customized font properties are better supported with SendToReport.

- In various platform dialogs, use the .labelBy clause to associate NumEdit boxes with their labels for A11y (JMP-32355).
- In Fit Least Squares, suppress saving various options that are implied by default through the Emphasis setting—the saved scripts are much smaller (JMP-32363).
- Laura C-S: Continued polishing the edges of the new estimator in SEM: Added a warning when variables are entered as ordinal but have too many levels, made required edits to the launch dialog and the status tab of the report, fixed a bug with frequency variables and multiple-groups, and fixed two crashes with the descriptive stats in the report that resulted from recent changes. Wrote a couple of SEM scripts with the new estimator to include in sample data tables (thanks to Mandy, Jules, and Quiana for their help with this). Answered a community question on bootstrap in SEM for mediation models. Researching delta vs theta parameterizations of ordinal SEMs.
- Taylor P: Updated the orthogonal regression method to include a confidence interval for the intercept (JMP-8617).
