What inspired this Wish List Request?
I’m prepping for a “stuff you never knew existed but can’t live without” demo in Portland. I’m showing quantile regression and I ran into a really unfortunate bug/ inconsistency. I can work around it for my presentation, but it should probably get fixed.
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
In quantile regression, you can set the quantile from the model dialog:
But, you can’t set it from the model launch part of the report:
The part that is really confusing (and caused my personal heartburn) is that any attempt to run multiple quantiles through JSL causes Fit Model to just reproduce the regression for one quantile however many times are in the jsl:
Note how the fit statistics are identical. Also, the “response distribution” column should indicate what the quantile is, i.e., "Quantile Regression, q = 0.1” or something.
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?
Quantile Regression is a powerful hidden feature in GenReg. It appears to have been missed in the recent rounds of GUI updating. It needs to be up to standards of the rest of the platform.

Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of?
n/a
Will this impact a renewal, expansion, or adoption at a customer, and does this put an account at risk if we do not address this?
Quantile Regression is a feature that, when socialized, will help with Pro retention.
Discussed with developer and this should be an easy fix. Adding the ability to specify multiple quantiles from within the platform should also fix the JSL behavior. Possible for v20 but more likely can be fixed in v21.
