Meeting customers where they search: Introducing “problem-aware” and “solution-aware” pages
New JMP problem-aware and solution-aware pagesNew JMP problem-aware and solution-aware pages
B2B buyers rarely arrive at a website ready to buy. Instead, they enter the buying journey at different stages of awareness and use different language depending on where they are in their journey.
Problem-aware searchers know they have a problem but haven't identified a solution yet. They might search for phrases like "how to reduce manufacturing defects," "how to reduce process variation," or "how to improve manufacturing quality."
Solution-aware searchers already have a software category in mind and are evaluating options but may not be familiar with JMP. They might search for something like "statistical process control software" or "SPC software for manufacturing."
If jmp.com only offers product-focused content, we miss opportunities to engage problem-aware searchers early or guide them as they begin evaluating solutions.
To address this gap, we’ve published a new problem-aware page, How to reduce process variation and improve manufacturing quality, which defines process variation, explains why it matters, and outlines how JMP can help. We’ve also published a solution-aware statistical process control software page that explores how SPC software solutions differ, what to look for in a solution, and why manufacturers choose JMP.
Both pages were developed in collaboration with Sales and target quality improvement topics that represent a significant search opportunity for JMP. In a space where Minitab has historically had strong visibility, these new pages help establish JMP as an authoritative resource, fill content gaps, and compete more effectively for high-value search and AI-driven discovery.
New pillar page: Bayesian optimization
Bayesian Optimization pillar pageBayesian Optimization pillar page
Earlier this year, we launched a new informational page type called pillar pages. Our first set of pillar pages focused on functional data analysis. Last month, JMP launched its latest pillar page on Bayesian optimization.
A pillar page is a comprehensive resource that serves as the central hub for a broad, high-value topic. By building in-depth content within a logical, structured framework, pillar pages help search engines and LLMs recognize jmp.com as an expert source worthy of ranking and citations.
The Bayesian optimization pillar page came about after conversations with Sales management and Field Marketing, who identified the topic as being very well aligned with both our target audience’s interests and the unique strengths of JMP Pro. SE Bradley Bowen is serving as the primary subject matter expert and content author for this topic.
More Bayesian optimization content is on the way! While the parent page is now live, multiple sub-topic pages are currently in development, including pages covering Gaussian processes, acquisition functions, and DOE vs. Bayesian optimization.
In the meantime, feel free to share the parent page with your customers and prospects.
Reimagined Stat Speaking launches on YouTube, Apple, and Spotify
Stat Speaking with JMPStat Speaking with JMPOn Aug. 19, JMP launched the first episode of its newly reimagined Stat Speaking series. Now presented in a podcast-style format, with shorter conversations (20-30 minutes) and live Q&A, the series features a fresh look and new energy. The relaunch includes new artwork from Ed Harriss and a new set design from JMP’s Production and Design team. JMP’s Statistical Ambassador Anne Milley serves as host, Henry Moore as technical producer, and Sarah Cromer as executive producer.
The premiere episode, The Art of Science Communication, features a conversation with professors Regina Nuzzo and Kristin Sainani, co-hosts of the Normal Curves Podcast. Together, they explore how storytelling and humor can help people connect with data and share complex ideas without “dumbing them down.”
Nuzzo and Sainani also share practical ideas for making sophisticated statistical concepts more approachable, so you can better connect with nontechnical audiences.
Season 1 is already fully planned, with a new episode scheduled each month through January 2027. You can view the complete schedule at jmp.com/statspeaking.
Watch Episode 1 on YouTube or listen on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. And, of course, please spread the word by sharing the series on LinkedIn and across all your networks.
Putting our best mark forward
Two JMP-approved logosTwo JMP-approved logosLed by the Brand Design and Review team, Global Marketing continues its comprehensive brand refresh to ensure a more consistent and compelling JMP brand experience. After aligning many of JMP’s most visible videos with our brand standards, the team completed a full review of our most visible and important brand asset: the JMP logo.
That effort resulted in a new standard for external logo use. Going forward, use only one of two approved logos, available in three approved color options, when sharing the JMP logo externally.
Our primary approved logo features the phrase “Statistical Discovery” alongside JMP, rather than just the standalone "JMP" mark. This logo reinforces our core identity and value proposition and should be used in all presentation decks, marketing materials, and internal documentation.
Please use the logo as instructed in the Logo Guidelines document. If you spot an outdated JMP logo anywhere, whether on a slide deck, a web page, event banner, etc., please flag it for the Brand team so we can update it.
A new landing page for audiences discovering JMP
New brand awareness pageNew brand awareness pageTo introduce JMP to new audiences, the Customer Alliance team launched a new landing page featuring sponsored content, strategic advertising partnerships, and customer stories. The page highlights JMP collaborations with well-known creators, including SciShow, Astrum, Formula 1 Data Analysis, and custom content work with Nature.
While previous brand awareness pages directed visitors to the free JMP trial, downloading the trial can be a significant leap for people at the very top of the marketing funnel who may only just be learning who we are and what JMP does.
Instead, the new page provides an intermediary step: introducing JMP in an accessible way, demonstrating the amazing breakthroughs our customers are making with JMP, and encouraging visitors to explore further.
The launch also reflects the growing momentum behind JMP’s external content partnerships. These collaborations help introduce JMP to large, highly engaged audiences in science, engineering, and data analysis, while creating new opportunities to build awareness beyond the audiences we traditionally reach.
