What creative techniques have you used to give away marketing collateral items like books at JMP Days? Seems like a plain Jane random number generator type process, while maybe fair, is just sooooooooo boring. Any ideas?
You could do a pop quiz type trick or first person to answer some question about what was shown

If we didn’t do registration, be sure to use the giveaway as a way to collect user contact information. Use a fish bowl (or other appropriate vessel) and collect business cards for a drawing.
If we’ve already got user information, I like using the spinner to give them away. It’s more fun than a simple random number generator.

Hello,
we like to ask a (simple) question about the topic that was presented. We announce before that there will be a question and that the first one with the right answer gets the book.
We used the fish bowl version at trade shows with moderate results.
Best regards
Bernd
I would expect nothing less than a quiz from Professor Heinen:)
