19.1.5: Final Installer Candidates 8/9/26 • 19.2: Security Freeze 9/3/26 • 20.0: open in main; EA6 Code Freeze 8/27/26; Code Freeze 1/7/27
Welcome to the JMP Development Update for August 21, 2026.
Testing is nearing completion for our JMP 19.1.5 and JMP Live 19.5.2 security releases and is expected to be available to customers early next week.
JMP 2027 EA6 is planned to freeze next week on Thursday, August 27. In addition to EAs for the desktop products, we will have a JMP Live EA based on the EA6 code base. Once created and tested, the JMP Live EA will be made available to select JMP Live customers for testing new features.
Please continue to review your open Epic and Story items with Planned Version = 20 and triage them appropriately. Where appropriate, you can add items to the 20 Late Features page or the 20.1 Features page. Thanks to everyone who has already added items to these pages. It’s very helpful to have a clear picture of feature work remaining in the track.
Thanks to Russ Wolfinger for presenting this week on JSL Assistant Updates and AI Integration. He talked about the current state of the JSL Assistant, discussed recent challenges, and demoed the current implementation and direction. A lively Q&A touched on many issues around delivering an integrated AI Assistant with JMP.
Call for Interest from Dan Schikore: We are planning to start a weekly discussion group geared toward new developers, but open to anyone interested. We plan to start next week with a small introductory meeting. Later meetings will typically involve reading or watching content on a topic, then meeting to discuss it and how it applies to JMP. Planned topics can be found in Introductory Developer Discussions, and additional topics may be added. Contact @Dan Schikore to be added to the list.

JMP Development Updates
Product Management and Product Marketing
- Bryan:
- Completed ~10 Fluent-aligned icon updates.

On top of that we hosted a Data Connectors training (Brian Corcoran, Dan Valente, Peter Polito), Workflow Builder training (Owen Jonathan), and then partnered with GTET on a Bayesian Optimization training (Bradley Bowen) - all worth the watch! Additionally, this month’s marketplace featured extension is the semiconductor toolkit (Mike Anderson).
