19.2: Security Freeze 9/3/26 • 20.0: open in main; EA6 Code Freeze 8/27/26; Code Freeze 1/7/27
Welcome to the JMP Development Update for August 14, 2026!
This week JMP management made the decision to delay our 19.1.5 security release and make an exception to include two emergency bug fixes aimed at addressing a table corruption issue impacting P&G and other customers. Testing on two fixes is proceeding today in 20 and 19.2 with integration to 19.1.5 to follow. We expect to generate 19.1.5 final installer candidates for testing next week and sign off once they are fully vetted.
20 EA6 is planned to freeze in a little less than two weeks. In addition to EAs for the desktop products, we will have a JMP Live EA based on the EA6 code base. Once created and tested, the JMP Live EA will be made available to select JMP Live customers for testing new features.
Please note that in addition to the 20 Late Features page, I have also added a 20.1 Features page to Confluence. We are nearly a month past 20 Feature Freeze so minor new features that were not already in progress at Feature Freeze and are not required to ship in 20 should be considered for 20.1 instead.
Speaking of new features, thanks to Aurora Tiffany-Davis, Michael Goff and Praveena Panineerkandy for presenting at the JMP Dev meeting on Thursday about Process Screening Triage in JMP Live! If you were not able to attend the meeting live, you can find a recording here.
Finally, thanks to Shannon L for sharing the August 2026 Atlassian customizations/improvements including a new Jira workflow for JMP R&D development projects! More details can be found here.
If you use the R&D Jira projects of JMP, JMP HTML5, or JMP Clinical, please be aware that this coming Monday, August 17, a new workflow will be rolled out to several JMP R&D development projects.
In order to more accurately track which JMP software version a fix associated with a Jira issue is made, we’re adding a requirement that Fix Version has been set in the Jira Issue in several of the transitions.
In short:
- This new workflow will apply to all of the Jira Issue types in those projects except for Feature Request
- Fix Version will be required moving Jira Issues to Test-Ready, Testing, and Accepted & Closed
- There is guidance in the documentation on what to use for the Fix Version when closing a Jira Issue and no source or other changes were made
Contact Shannon Leslie or any of the other JMP Atlassian admins with questions. Also check out our JMP Atlassian Q&A Teams channel, where this and other Atlassian information will continue to be shared.

- Hui:
- Continued JMP Live 20 I18N testing (JMPTEST-2096); advanced Control Chart Warnings localization scope — JMPTEST-2628, 20 items in progress.
- I18N testing surfaced functional defects in Process Screening: JMPHTML-15762 (Major, warning pane not opening on test marker click). Also reported JMP-31900 during I18N testing; filed as Normal but escalated for qc_time data corruption — verified and closed same week. JMPHTML-15757 identified as a duplicate.
- Reported JMP-31941 (Normal, graphics disappear on resize with malformed JSL) and JMPHTML-15763 (Major, tooltip Summary Statistic shows ###) during bug verification.
- Collaborated with Praveena and Seema in a defect review meeting — confirmed reproducibility of JMPHTML-15699 (multiple selection broken after sorting) and JMPHTML-15689 (warning pane failure beyond first process); both developer-acknowledged.
- Verified and closed JMP-260, JMPHTML-15704, and JMP-31900.
- Risk: JMPHTML-15762, JMPHTML-15699, and JMPHTML-15689 remain open — all in the Process Screening area — and require developer resolution before release validation completes.
