We have exciting news to share about how JMP presents itself to the world. We’re kicking off a comprehensive brand revamp designed to update our brand guidelines for internal staff, external partners, and third-party representation.
While the full brand evolution will roll out in phases, we are starting with one of our most visible assets: the JMP logo.
LOGOUSE.jpgWhat’s changing: Two approved logos
To keep our global identity clean, recognizable, and consistent, we now have only two official, approved logos and three color options.
The primary approved logo features the phrase “Statistical Discovery” alongside JMP, rather than just the standalone "JMP" mark. This updated primary logo reinforces our core identity and value proposition across presentation decks, marketing materials, and internal documentation.
See the attached JMP Logo Guide for all the do's and don'ts.
Take action
Transitioning to a refreshed brand requires company-wide effort. We ask all staff to take the following steps:
Be our brand eyes and ears. With years of content across InsideJMP pages, documentation, and external sites, legacy logos will occasionally pop up. If you spot an outdated JMP logo anywhere, whether on a slide deck, a web page, or an event banner, please flag it for the Brand team so we can get it updated.
Coming soon: New PowerPoint templates. Updated JMP PowerPoint templates containing the correct primary logo will be available soon. For now, using the traditional PowerPoint decks is OK. Once the new decks become available, please discontinue and delete any old decks or internal templates saved on your local drives.
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
When can I use the standalone JMP logo without “Statistical Discovery”?
The primary logo with "Statistical Discovery" is the standard default for all internal and external materials. Based on our updated usage guide, only the Brand Design team can approve standalone or alternate logo variations for specialized layouts or space-constrained formats.
Where will the official brand assets live?
All approved logo files, official PowerPoint templates, brand guidelines, and visual assets are stored centrally on the JMP Brand Kit and JMP Assets Manager (JAM). Bookmark these pages to ensure you are always downloading the most up-to-date versions directly from the source.
What do I do with retiring assets like old PowerPoint slides, swag, and JMP-logoed shirts?
For digital assets like old slide decks and document templates, please archive or delete local copies to prevent accidental reuse. For physical items like apparel, JMP swag, or promotional merchandise with legacy logos, you may continue wearing or using personal gear internally, but please do not distribute legacy swag at external events, customer meetings, or conferences.
How do I request brand review or custom visual assets for an upcoming event?
If you are preparing customer-facing collateral, sponsorship materials, or high-visibility presentations, submit a quick request to brand@jmp.com. The Brand Design team will ensure your assets align with the new guidelines and supply high-resolution files if needed.
When will the full Brand Guidelines be available?
The updated visual identity guide (covering typography, color palettes, tone of voice, and third-party usage rules) is in the works. We'll share an announcement as soon as the complete toolkit is ready.
Thanks for sharing these detailed brand updates, as we start planning for next year this is a great time to ensure compliance with the correct logos. Appreciate it!
Thank you for sharing this and everyone's hard work in defining and refining the JMP logo and visual brand. I know this is not a small undertaking, but the outcome will certainly payoff in how JMP as a company is seen globally by new and old customers.
It would be great if the slide templates could accommodate a slide number in the footer.
