Not only is the JMP Foreword magazine back in print, but new issues will be produced four times a year. That’s the plan. It’s one of the ways we’re working to get the JMP brand out into the world and to increase enthusiasm within existing accounts.
Prior to COVID-19, JMP Foreword was printed and mailed to users to coincide with every major JMP release. The pandemic disrupted many things, including our ability to reach our users with this direct mail piece. But now in-person gatherings are back, and so is our magazine.
JMP Foreword is a powerful representation of our brand. It’s full of thought leadership, customer stories, statistical best practices – all the things we want our current and future users to connect with JMP. We’re the helpers, the connectors, and the statistical experts. The magazine tells that story, and is appropriate for users, prospects, students, professors, employees, and potential employees.
The first issue features STIPS creator Mia Stephens on the cover, John Sall discusses JMP’s guiding principles, and many users and thought leaders share successes and best practices.
Printing will happen quarterly in Cary. Distribution will be through in-person events such as Discovery Summits, Discovery Seminars, JMP Inspire Days, etc. If you’re in Field Marketing or User Enablement, you have – or will soon receive – your first shipment of magazines for your events. We’ll work with you to get a good delivery cadence.

If you’re in Sales, we hope you’ll take a minute to think about how a print magazine can help you. You can whet the appetite for our products by mailing them to hot prospects, leaving them behind after strategic customer visits, or using them in any other way you see fit. Since we won’t be mailing any copies directly from Cary to customers, you can request copies to be mailed to you via this form.
So far, I’ve been talking about the print piece. We’ll also have a digital version that lives on jmp.com. If someone is print-adverse, this is an alternative way to spread the good word. The digital version of JMP Foreword will also be available via the new JMP for Stats app we’re building. Stay tuned for more about that. app we’re building. Stay tuned for more about that.
The newly revamped magazine is the perfect piece for English-reading audiences. So what about the rest of the world? A Japanese language version is in the works, with a French version also under consideration. Nous verrons. As 2026 brought the re-launch of JMP Foreword, 2027 will bring non-English versions as needed.
