Simin previously worked in the financial industry as a Senior Data Scientist, leading financial model development. She later decided to return to school to pursue a Ph.D. in Statistics at Virginia Tech. Her research interests include AI system reliability, AI-driven statistical methods, and large language model evaluation.
Before joining the DOE & Reliability group full-time, Simin was a summer intern with the team and later worked as a GRA intern. She currently focuses on reliability research and development, which closely aligns with her research interests.
Outside of work, Simin enjoys spending time with her family and skiing during the winter.
