What inspired this Wish List Request?
Conversation with Eva Lever at PCC Structurals/Special Metals. She has been tasked with asking all software suppliers to provide a method to embed a message related to 15 CFR 730-774 into all JMP documents across the range of PCC Structurals businesses.
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
The ability for a company, when creating a custom deployment, to include some sort of disclaimer text that would be appended to each report and each data table. This would need to be automatic for every table and report. Something like the example below:

The customer would also like a way to retroactively apply this to all saved data tables in a folder. Depending on how this would be implemented, this ability might not be necessary.
Related SE Discussion/Question
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?
Compliance with their interpretation of 15 CFR 730-774. I would imagine other companies with other compliance rules would also benefit.
Is this an external customer request?
Yes. Eva Lever. While she is listed as being part of Special Metals, she is working on this for all of the PCC Structurals umbrella.
Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of?
While MS Office isn't usually a competititor, in this case Office already has this ability. Eva is asking all their software suppliers to offer this feature.
Will this impact a renewal, expansion, or adoption at a customer, and does this put an account at risk if we do not address this?
Probably not immediately, but if others provide this ability and JMP doesn't, it may eventually become a hurdle for continued use.
Kudos for @MikeD_Anderson for this suggestion that will likely make the customer happy until this is important enough for developers.

//global window handler runs the function each time a new JMP window is created. Example below appends a simple text message to each window. If desired, the handler could determine which type of window, then customize the message location or type based on the window type. This could be put into an add-in that runs each time JMP opens, so the behavior could be made automatic.
Set Global Window Handler(
Function( {window},
window << append (text box ("Sample Regulatory Message"));
)
);
//to remove:
//Clear Global Window Handler();Thank you for sharing this request and the current workaround!
