Our greatest asset at JMP is the expertise of our people. From pioneering R&D advancements to strategic storytelling, the knowledge within our walls has the power to inspire innovation far beyond them.
To better harness this collective brilliance, we are excited to announce the launch of the JMP Speaker Bureau.
The Speaker Bureau is designed to amplify JMP’s reach, while investing directly in our most valuable resource: you. By cultivating a diverse roster of speakers and topics, we aim to increase awareness of JMP at both internal and external events, including alliances and professional organizations.
Why join the Speaker Bureau?
This initiative isn’t just about branding; it’s about professional growth.
Advanced Analytics R&D Director Ryan Lekivetz (@Ryan_Lekivetz) and Pre-Sales Support Director Phil Kay (@Phil_Kay) will serve on the JMP Speaker Bureau steering committee. “It’s been great to see the Speaker Bureau take shape as a way to better surface and connect expertise across JMP,” Lekivetz said. “I’m especially glad we’re creating more opportunities for early-career hires to present. There’s a lot of strong expertise there, and this helps make that more visible.”
"Trust in JMP solutions is built on trust in the people that work here,” Kay said. “The JMP Speaker Bureau will enable more of our brilliant people to get out in front of more scientists and engineers. And the training and coaching are just what we need to ensure we can all deliver our message with maximum impact."
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Build their professional credibility by presenting on topics they are passionate about.
- Benefit from a structured program that includes rehearsal sessions, internal feedback, and specialized training to polish individual presentation styles.
- Ensure the JMP story, whether about the culture of analytics, sustainability, or product innovation, is told with a unified, authoritative voice.
What we’re focusing on
We are looking for speakers who can speak to various facets of the JMP experience:
- Storytelling and messaging: Communicating the value of analytics and discovery at every level of an organization.
- Product capabilities: Highlighting how analytic applications like DOE support innovation and value creation.
- Best practices: Sharing insights into experimentation, continuous improvement, and strategic data collection.
- JMP culture: Spreading the word about JMP as a great place to work and have a career.
How it works
We are building a robust speaker repository (via Confluence and/or an external site) that will feature speaker profiles, achievements, and areas of expertise. This repository will serve as a go-to resource for media relations and third-party event organizers.
To ensure our speakers feel confident and prepared, the program will provide:
- A forum to rehearse and receive constructive internal feedback.
- Excerpts that can be used for external promotion and featured on your professional speaker profile.
- Performance assessment and feedback to help speakers continue evolving as communicators.
Get involved
Whether you are a seasoned conference regular in R&D or a technical staff member looking to branch out into regional marketing events, we want to hear from you. And if you are a JMPer with expertise and/or interest in topics like women in STEM, equal opportunity, work/life balance, or other career-related topics, let us know that too.
Take the JMP Speaker Bureau survey so we can assess interest and propose a menu of suggested topics. We plan to roll out the program in phases, first focusing on the Americas and EMEA. Please complete the survey by June 1.
