Hi all,
This is the response to the question about applying tags from a previous dataset to a new dataset. There are a couple of ways to do this, and they shouldn't take too long to do it. The easiest way to do this is create a Workflow from Workflow Builder (In JMP select: File->New->Workflow) on the original dataset. Save the workflow, open up the new dataset, and run the workflow. If the new dataset has a different name, a screen pops up asking you to select that table.
For example, the first dataset that I used to create the workflow was called "Probe". When I opened up a new dataset, and ran the saved workflow, I get a prompt to select the new table (in this example the new table is called "Probes_Grouping_Tags ex".). Once I select the new dataset, the workflow then automatically adds the tags to the new dataset.
Here's a visualization:
Here's my original dataset with columns that I added tags:

Here's the new dataset without the columns:

From the original dataset, I created a workflow. I opened the workflow and selected run, then got this prompt:

I selected the new dataset, "Probes_Grouping_Tags ex" and it applied the tags to the new dataset.

I have attached the dataset and workflow that I used to do this for you all to try out. The original dataset is called Probe.jmp and can be found in JMP: Help-> Sample Data Folder->Probe.jmp (or you can select Help->Search JMP and then type Probe). There are a couple of other ways to do this, and I have saved the scripts to the "Probes_Grouping_Tags ex" data table in the Tables Panel on the left called "Grouping/Tags Scripts".
If there are questions about the scripts, please feel free to ask. Also, if anyone has an even better way, please add to the conversation.
