I’m excited to share this month’s User Enablement updates, which reflect strong momentum across events, learning, and global collaboration. Last month’s update sparked great engagement, especially requests for greater visibility into User Enablement activity in Asia, and I’m pleased to highlight events in APAC and beyond this month. A big thank you to our regional partners for pulling together the event lists below. It was great to spend time last week with Amanda Loh, Sennet Tang, and Derek Pan at JMP Academy. As key partners across APxJ, I’m looking forward to continued collaboration.
There’s a lot to explore, including new on‑demand training resources now available in Learn JMP, continued adoption of the new JMP 19 trial process, and a wide range of academic, customer, and community events happening around the world.
I also want to extend congratulations to Dahlia Watkins (@Dahlia_Watkins) and Kirsten Crannell (@KirstenCrannell) on their recent Spotlight awards. They are true exemplars of the values we hold in User Enablement, and I’m grateful for the impact they have on our users and colleagues.
Technical Support
During the Q1 Company Update, our own Dahlia Watkins was named a Q1 Spotlight Award winner for his consistent commitment to supporting JMP users and colleagues with integrity, patience, advocacy, and positivity. We appreciate Dahlia and his dedication to JMP.
Customer Engagement
On May 2, Dawn Sekelsky (@D_Sekelsky) celebrated her two-year anniversary at JMP! Thanks for all your contributions to JMP!
With the launch of the new JMP 19 trial process on April 1, JET has been assisting both customers and internal sales teams with cases. Since its launch, JET has handled 85 cases around the JMP trial.
We have worked closely with John Jones and the Digital Operations team to provide feedback on potential improvements to streamline the process.
Academic
If you’re curious about the universities and courses that use JMP around the globe, check out the JMP Live Academic dashboards (Academic> Student Edition Dashboards). Among the dashboards is the Course dashboard (select the University Course Lookup tab), which allows you to filter by sales region, country, and other criteria.

The Users dashboard shows total counts, including researcher use. The User Growth dashboard tracks a cumulative total My JMP Student Edition registrations by month and year. Most recently, a new Course dashboard has been added that provides counts of courses using JMP by type (e.g., DOE, regression), helping us understand market share. Big thanks to Academic Team Intern Aidan Maguire, who led its development over the past year.
Some recent and upcoming Academic Team events include:
Presenting and exhibiting at the annual INFORMS Analytics+ conference in Washington, including delivering a pre-conference workshop on machine learning and a presentation on Bayesian optimization.
- Sponsoring and serving on the judging committee for this year’s American Statistical Association DataFest competition at California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. In this event, student teams are given access to a large, comprehensive healthcare data set and must, within under two days, develop a five-minute presentation using only three slides.
- Delivering a preconference design of experiments workshop at the Green Chemistry conference in India (GCESDIP 2.0), hosted by SVNIT Surat in partnership with leading institutes. The session highlighted how DOE enables sustainable innovation by reducing experimental runs, optimizing processes, and driving data-driven decisions.
- Exhibiting at the annual conference of the Academy of Marketing Science in Savannah, GA, May 12-14, spreading awareness of JMP among academic consumers and market researchers.
- Providing on-campus training seminars for the Department of Statistics at the University of Georgia and the Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory at Georgia Tech in April.
Learn JMP
You can find two new training resources in Learn JMP:
These are roughly 20-minute video versions of the (partially retired) Hands-On Workshops, also titled the same. The workshops have been retired in the U.S., but will continue to be taught in Europe until the end of 2026. In any case, ALL users can now access this content on demand from Learn JMP!
Events
Congratulations to Kirsten Crannell for winning the Spotlight Award. Kirsten led governance for the Discovery Summit 2025 and scaled global User Enablement programs, driving quality, alignment, and an improved user experience.
