Are you ready to pickleball for a cause? Join us on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 12:30-4:30 p.m. EDT for the First Annual Pickleball Pickleback JMP Charity Tournament.
The tournament will be held on the Tennis Courts at SAS Cary Headquarters. Whether you're a seasoned player or just there for the vibes, make plans to join us for an afternoon of friendly competition, JMP camaraderie, and charitable impact.
This year, we’re supporting three incredible organizations:
Registration is limited to 16 JMP staff pickleball players and is first-come, first-served. The entry fee is $20 (or more if you're feeling extra generous), and every dollar of your registration will go directly to our selected charities.

Tournament format
JMP's PB-PB tournament will be round robin, fast-paced, and fun. You'll rotate partners each match, rack up individual points, and compete for prizes. Partners and opponents will be randomly generated using the legendary Pickler 3000TM. (special thanks to programmer John Taylor from SAS). Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female point-earners, as well as the winners of each final pod match.
A chip and a charity: How giving works
Every point you score earns you a green chip. After each match (or at the end of the tournament), you'll choose how to distribute your chips by dropping them into the buckets of the charities you want to support. The percentage of chips in each bucket will determine how the total donation pool is divided.

Any donation would be most appreciated.
Finally, even if you're not participating the tournament, feel free to come out and watch/cheer on your fellow JMPers. We'd love to see you out there.

I'm not able to make due to vacation but otherwise I'd be there. I hope it is a great event to raise funds for these organizations.

That is so nice @TaraKups. Yes, you can donate even if you don't play. Simply send any contribution you'd like to make to Allison Hines Venmo. She is collecting entry fees and donations on our behalf and will help us distribute to the charities after the event. If you're not playing in the tournament, simply note in the details "JMP PB Charity Tournament 2026” and the preferred charity (or even another if you'd like). We'll be sure 100% of your donation goes to the charity(ies) of your choice. Also feel free to come out and watch any of the tournament you'd like. (I'm going to add both items to the main post.)
