SAS has designated Tuesday, May 26, as a Global Rest & Recharge Day following the U.S. Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 25. While JMP will remain operational that day, we recognize that many shared services in our offices (including cafés, fitness centers, and other on‑site amenities) will not be available due to the SAS closure.
If working remotely on May 26 would best support your productivity or wellbeing, managers are encouraged to support that flexibility.
Separately, and with intention, JMP will continue the practice we have followed for the past several years of observing a Global Rest & Recharge Day on Friday, June 19, in recognition of the Juneteenth holiday in the U.S. JMP will be closed, and employees are encouraged to fully step away from work, rest, reflect, and recharge.
Juneteenth commemorates the end of legalized slavery in the United States, marking a broader and ongoing journey toward freedom, dignity, and equal opportunity. While its origins are specific to U.S. history, its meaning resonates globally, reminding us of the importance of fairness, human rights, and the shared responsibility we have to create workplaces and communities where every individual can thrive.
Over the years, we have heard from employees that recognizing Juneteenth in this way is meaningful and impactful. It has become an important annual observance for our organization.
Thank you for your flexibility on May 26 and for the care you show one another every day. We appreciate your continued commitment to our shared values and to creating a respectful, inclusive workplace across all regions.
