The JMP Trust Center has been updated to reflect JMP’s commitment to AI literacy and responsible AI practices, aligned with the objectives of the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act (EU AI Act).

Why this matters
The European Union Artificial Intelligence Act (EU AI Act) is becoming a global reference point for how organizations should govern AI. The EU AI Act entered into force on August 1, 2024, and will apply in phases over the next several years. It uses a risk‑based approach and places obligations on both AI providers and deployers to promote trust, safety, and accountability.
To help employees and customers understand what this means in practice, the JMP Trust Center now includes expanded content on JMP’s approach to the EU AI Act, including:
- A high‑level overview of the EU AI Act’s risk categories and their implications
- How JMP monitors evolving regulatory guidance and aligns governance and policies accordingly
- Details on AI literacy efforts designed to support an informed workforce and customer community
- Transparency around the use of general‑purpose AI and generative AI in JMP Marketplace Add‑Ons, including disclosures and documentation practices
- A summary of copyright safeguards and how to raise copyright concerns
- Customer FAQs addressing data use, confidentiality, and expectations for AI‑enabled functionality

Responsible AI use across JMP products
In addition to the updates highlighted on the Trust Center, JMP has implemented further measures to support its AI governance efforts. While JMP does not develop features intended to support prohibited AI practices, our Responsible Use Policy prohibits customers from using JMP products for prohibited purposes. JMP Marketplace Add‑Ons that leverage generative AI are governed by applicable Marketplace terms and use controlled techniques to reference JMP‑owned or approved content, without fine‑tuning or modifying underlying foundation models.
These updates reinforce JMP’s commitment to responsible AI governance and regulatory awareness. JMP’s Universal Terms, Data Processing Addendum, and applicable Generative AI Terms incorporate these commitments and are available through the Trust Center, which will remain the central resource for transparency around JMP’s privacy, security, and AI practices.
