Hannah Martin, Landra Robertson, and John Mosier gather meals before leaving for their delivery route.A dozen members of the JMP Marketing team traded their keyboards for coolers last week to support Meals on Wheels of Wake County. While they showed up to deliver lunch, they walked away with a lot more than empty delivery bags.
The team spent the morning on the ground, learning the ropes of community service that goes way beyond food. They didn't just drop off packages; they took the time to interview and photograph residents to capture the real stories behind the service.
They learned that, for many recipients, a Meals on Wheels visit is the only social interaction they have in a day. By documenting these moments, the JMP team provided Meals on Wheels with long-lasting assets, including photos and stories, that will help them fundraise and advocate for the community for years to come.
"What Meals on Wheels does goes far beyond delivering meals," Senior Marketing Specialist Maria Paredes said. "The organization brings dignity and connection to people’s lives... We left feeling inspired by the love and humanity behind it."

"This was such a fun and meaningful project – your team's time both delivered life-sustaining meals and check-ins and provided our team with evergreen assets to continue to fundraise and spread the word about Meals on Wheels," said Sara Walker, Director of Development and Communications at Meals on Wheels of Wake County.
