Shusuke with his sons at a local park in Tokyo.Shusuke with his sons at a local park in Tokyo.After studying physics and chemistry at university, he spent 17 years at Teijin Limited, a prominent firm in the materials and pharmaceutical industries, before joining the JMP division at SAS.

For the first 12 years of his career, Shunsuke specialized in materials research and development, polymer manufacturing technologies, and analytical techniques. It was during this period that he discovered a deep passion for the potential of data science and statistics. Roughly five years ago, he transitioned internally to a department dedicated to data utilization and digital transformation. In this role, he was responsible for educating staff and raising awareness of data analytics across the entire organization.

While Shunsuke is new to the sales engineering role, he brings nearly two decades of experience from the front lines of the materials and pharmaceutical sectors. Having seen firsthand how interactive analytics software like JMP can drastically improve engineering efficiency and uncover critical insights, he is eager to leverage his background to provide immediate value to the business.

Outside of work, Shunsuke is an avid reader of manga and novels and enjoys programming. He often shares these hobbies with his two children, aged 9 and 12. His favorite titles are "World Trigger" and "Haikyu!!" Beyond their entertainment value, he finds that these works offer meaningful perspectives that are applicable to both his career and his personal life.
