In honor of International Women’s Day (IWD), the JMP D&I Action Team hosted a special discussion on empowerment, leadership, and the 2026 theme, “Give to Gain.”

The event was a chance for JMP staff to gather as a community, hear from inspiring leaders, and reflect on how we can continue to champion representation and professional growth for women within and beyond JMP.
JMP Marketing Specialist Ashley Tannert (@ashley_tannert) moderated the discussion, which featured dynamic leader Dr. Tiamesha Walker-Smith (Dr. Ty), who exemplifies the spirit of "lifting others as you rise."
Dr. Ty is a co-founder of Mission Possible Consulting and Executive Director of ATHENA of the Triangle. A creative and resourceful professional, Dr. Ty specializes in organizational culture change and developing established and emerging women leaders.

You can still support InterAct
International Women’s Day is about more than just conversation; it’s about action. Throughout the month of March, JMP is collecting donations for InterAct, a Wake County organization dedicated to ending the cycle of domestic and sexual violence. Your contributions help provide safer futures for victims, survivors, and their families.
Their highest need this year is food items, and we have several ways you can contribute before our scheduled delivery on March 25:
- In-office drop-off: Bring physical items to Pany Allen’s (@pany_allen) office (A5224).
- Direct delivery: Have items shipped directly via the Amazon Wish List.
By supporting InterAct, we live out the "Give to Gain" philosophy, investing in the safety and success of women in our local community.

What a great event! I’d also like to thank everyone who contributed to the InterACT donation drive. Thanks to the generosity of JMP employees, we had another successful year supporting this wonderful organization. Pany’s car could barely contain all the donated items!
