As we head into March, I want to recognize the steady, thoughtful progress happening across User Enablement. Many of this month’s updates reflect the follow‑through on priorities we aligned on earlier this year – turning good conversations into real improvements for our users.
What stands out is the collaboration behind the work. From cross‑team efforts to improve shared systems, to active product feedback, to ongoing refinements in how users find learning and support, there’s a clear pattern of teams listening closely and iterating with purpose.
I also want to call out the successful launch of the JMP Employees JMP Users Group. Huge thanks to Jamie Young, the User Events team, and all the volunteers who are helping get this started. I’m excited to see it continue to grow, fostering a strong, internal culture of data‑driven decision making – powered by our own software.
Across the board, the focus remains on experience: reducing friction, improving clarity, and helping users find value faster. And as we head into Discovery Summit Europe, I’m especially looking forward to connecting directly with users in Sorrento. Thanks to everyone contributing to this momentum – it’s great work, and it shows.
Learn JMP
It’s been a few months since Digital Experiences launched the newest look for Education’s “Learn JMP” space (community.jmp.com/learn, jmp.com/learnjmp), and we want to know: How are we doing?
Goal #1: Make Learn JMP the “one ring to rule them all.” Our goal is to put ALL relevant learning content into this area. It should be the ONLY place you need to send customers when they are looking for learning resources. Is there an on-demand course on this topic? It should be easily findable in Learn JMP. A Mastering recording, or an upcoming event? In Learn JMP. A great description or video on a SKP page? Also in Learn JMP!
If you are missing something, please let us know! You can use Jira (select “Learn JMP [User Content Creation]”) to alert us to missing content, report a bug, or make a suggestion for that space. (And note: we are aware of some issues right now. You might want to wait until mid-March to check the space again and then send in new requests, since we might be solving those issues right now.)
Goal #2: Make Learn JMP easy to use so you can find exactly what you need. Are you finding what you need? We will continue to work on the UI/UX for this space, and we welcome your suggestions. In the meantime, are you using the filters and functionality we’ve built in this space? Right now, we anticipate a user flow like these examples:
- User comes to Learn JMP and immediately uses the search bar to find content related to a specific keyword. (Warning: the subpar search functionality in the Community is a known issue and is being worked on.)

- User visits Learn JMP and goes straight to our “Getting Started on Demand” course, which is prominently linked on the home page. (STIPS is also linked prominently there.)

- User comes to Learn JMP and uses the Topic selection in the left navigation pane to narrow their search. Then they choose from our Recommended Items, or they scroll down to find upcoming related Events, or they scroll down to see all of the content (for that Topic area) and to filter based on Format, Duration, and/or Category within that Topic.

- User comes to Learn JMP and uses the Topic selection in the left navigation pane to choose “All Topics.” Then they choose from all upcoming Events, or scroll down to see all content and filter by Format or Duration.

Coming soon:
- We are cleaning up some items and filters in the database behind Learn JMP. We expect to have a filter on the Series soon, which might make it easier for sales teams to quickly find their favorite things to show.
- We are adding more materials that were created in languages other than English. While it is possible to have ANY text auto-translated in the community (and quite easy – just click the "Choose Language" button at the top right of any article), we also want people to be able to easily find the materials originally written in their language.

A filter for “Original Language” will be added once we have added enough non-English content to justify it.
- We are adding a “Topic” on formal learning to help companies better understand the resources we offer to train their employees in methods and in JMP. Here’s a visual summary of what’s available from a formal training perspective (it includes on-demand courses, live and recorded Hands-On-Workshops, and educational activities).

We really hope the Learn JMP space becomes the one place you can easily find all learning resources. Use Jira to give us feedback.
Technical Support
This month, a new case layout was rolled out. This is a significant change, as the layout is shared by many groups, including U.S. and Japan Technical Support, Engagement, R&D Testing, Accounts Receivable, and others. We appreciate the continued support by Cloud Giants, our Salesforce development partner, and will continue identifying refinements to improve efficiency.
Technical Support is participating in internal focus groups led by Product Management and others. These sessions not only generate valuable product feedback but are also opportunities to build relationships between internal groups. One participant shared, “My focus group had a lively discussion about visualizing correlation statistics in Graph Builder, and shared feedback about the new features.”
Customer Engagement
In addition to the case layout update shared by Wendy Murphrey under the Tech Support update, Cloud Giants implemented a new case transfer method at the end of February. This enhancement enables seamless transfers within and across teams, significantly streamlining the process and eliminating previously required manual steps.
The JMP Engagement Team (JET) added new information to the JMP Student Edition FAQ, enabling students, professors, and academic researchers to find answers to their questions without submitting a support ticket.
Education
Discovery Summit Europe workshops
Keep encouraging Discovery Summit Europe registrants to sign up for the workshops! We still have spots available. The workshops are a great way to give attendees a specific new skill to take home, and right now, just over a quarter of all non-JMP attendees are also registered for one. Learn more here.
Academic
This is peak time for the Academic team to engage with faculty and grow our user base as instructors’ thoughts soon turn to planning for the upcoming academic year. As such, the team is on campus and in contact with decision makers. Over the past few months, the team:
- Held a two-day on-campus JMP workshop at Virginia Tech, hosted by Virginia Tech's Statistical Applications and Innovations Group.
- Delivered a presentation on using AI tools in analytics education at the annual conference of the Southeastern US Decision Sciences Institute in Jacksonville.
- Is holding workshops next week at Oregon and Oregon State University with the semiconductor program.
- Delivered a pre-conference workshop on DOE and QbD, attended by both academic and industry professionals, reinforcing JMP’s commitment to data-driven pharmaceutical excellence at the National Conference on Quality by Design (QbD) organized by GITAM School of Pharmacy. JMP was the Knowledge Partner for the conference.
JMP workshop at the National Conference on QBD
- Participated in the onboarding session at the Polytechnic School of Milan hosted by Massimiliano Paonessa. He shared this feedback on LinkedIn: "Thanks to Volker Kraft for the lecture held at the Scuola Master Fratelli Pesenti – Politecnico di Milano and to Paolo Chiappa for facilitating the event, with appreciation for the session on data analytics and statistical thinking using JMP, highlighting how structured exploration, sound assumptions, and rigorous interpretation transform data into reliable insight and better decisions.”
With the aim of lowering language barriers and further promoting the use of JMP Student Edition in non-English-speaking countries, the Academic team has created new versions of the video “JMP Student Edition in 90 Seconds” translated into German, Italian, French, and Spanish. These videos are already available on the local pages of the academic landing page (JMP Academic: Statistics for Teaching, Learning & Research) and will be added to the official JMP YouTube channel soon. Other translations, such as Chinese and Japanese, will be considered as soon as possible.
