Minitab acquired Effx and hired Peter Goos and his team

not sure you have heard the news already, so I thought I post it here:

Minitab acquired Effx and hired Peter Goos and his team. 

 

I believe this will change how we talk about Minitab and DOE at least in the future. They will become much more competitive then. Not saying that we need to fear conversations but in the past they just reimplemented 2y old developments from our research. Now this might change. Just want to make sure we are aware of that. 

 Product Management @DanielValente ,  there might be the need to adjust our SWOT paper on Minitab, at least when it is clear what that change will do for the next Minitab version.

PS: I remember the old days where Peter and Brad acted as "couple" on stage of confernces, this is long time ago it seems.

I was aware of this and I know that Ryan and the DOE team are also aware. It was not a surprise. We've been keeping an eye on EFFEX since their formation and still have good relations with Peter.

Please don't be distracted by this. I'm sure PM will monitor the situation.

It should not affect how we sell JMP.
