Please help us welcome Stefano Cabot to JMP!
Stefano has been in sales for over a decade, during which the last six years were spent at Amazon Business, where he learned to thrive in environments where curiosity, data, and customer obsession rule the day. Before that, he helped co-found a startup called TeamArtist, which built membership management software for non-profit organizations; an experience that taught Stefano a lot about problem-solving and wearing far too many hats at once. "I’m truly excited to join the JMP community and look forward to connecting with colleagues across the globe," Stefano said.
Stefano was born in the US but grew up in Italy, and today he calls Milano home. He loves this city so much that he volunteers as a tour guide a few weekends each year, and happily does the same whenever friends or colleagues visit. If you ever find yourself in town and want to explore hidden courtyards, unexpected stories, or neighborhood gems that never make it into guidebooks, he's your person. Stefano says, "Please DO reach out!"
When not working, running is a major part of his life, both for staying active and for discovering new places. He completed five marathons so far (Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Nice, Porto, and Ravenna) and is currently thinking about which one to tackle in 2026.
As a conversation starter, he would love to hear what you’re reading at the moment! "I’m always on the lookout for great book recommendations. Please reach out or comment below," he said.

Re: Welcome Stefano CabotWelcome, Stefano. Looking forward to meeting you... especially knowing we can talk books! I recently tore through Solvej Balle's On the Calculation of Volume series and just picked up Vertigo by WG Sebald, having loved everything else I've read of his. Also really into the Animal series right now (https://press.uchicago.edu/ucp/books/series/RB-A.html#none:pubdate:list-display-grid) - it's quite a delight to spend a wintry Saturday learning everything there is to know about camels.
Re: Welcome Stefano Cabot
Welcome Stefano, I wish you a fantastic start to JMP, see you soon!
Re: Welcome Stefano CabotWarm welcome to JMP, Stefano! Currently reading Intraterrestrials: Discovering the Strangest Life on Earth (at John Sall's recommendation)--it is excellent. For the JMP Women in STEM group, I'm leading a discussion on Eve: How the Female Body Drove 200 Million Years of Human Evolution, also fascinating. Happy to have you JMP!
Re: Welcome Stefano CabotWelcome to JMP, Stefano! We're so glad you're here. My favorite books are always set in Italy - a recent favorite of mine is a hilarious novel called Tartufo by Kira Jane Buxton. There's a great cast of characters, truffles, and a lovely Italian village.
Re: Welcome Stefano CabotWelcome to the team, Stefano!
Highly recommend Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid as one of my favorite reads of the year so far. It’s a compelling romance centered on a woman who becomes one of the first female astronauts in NASA’s Space Shuttle program. A great blend of ambition, resilience, and heart – definitely worth adding to your list!
Re: Welcome Stefano CabotWelcome to JMP, Stefano! The book I'm currently reading happens to be set in Milan: Beneath a Scarlet Sky by Mark Sullivan.
