What does “collaboration” mean to you? At JMP, it’s more than just a shared document or a status update; it’s about spontaneous ideas, shared laughs, and the energy we get from simply being in the same room. While we’ve mastered the art of the virtual meeting, there is a specific kind of magic that doesn't quite translate through a webcam.
Some of our best breakthroughs don't happen during a scheduled presentation; they happen in the hallway after a meeting or while waiting for the coffee to brew. Seeing each other face-to-face reminds us that we are part of a larger JMP ecosystem. It turns a name on a screen into a person with a story, a hobby, or a killer trivia skill. And sharing a meal or coffee builds rapport, making future project collaborations smoother and more productive.
To lean into that spirit, we are excited to continue (and expand!) Collaboration Wednesdays in 2026!
While these specific events are currently centered around our Cary headquarters, we want this to be a global vibe. If you’re in a regional office, we hope these ideas spark some local inspiration for your own teams!
What’s happening in Cary?
Currently, our favorite way to caffeinate and catch up is at the coffee cart on the 4th floor of Building A, typically the third Wednesday of each month.
NEW! Starting in March, on the first Wednesday of every month, we’ll bring lunch to Building A for all JMP staff. It’s a perfect chance to grab a plate and connect with colleagues you might not see in your day-to-day workflow.
Your help needed: We’re looking to ramp up the fun! Whether you have ideas for a trivia hour, a shuffleboard tournament, or other group game suggestions, we want to hear them. Share a game idea with us to play during lunch or message Allison Hines (@AllisonHines).
We encourage you to schedule your internal team meetings on Wednesdays to maximize face-to-face time. If you’re a local, remote worker, or planning a visit to the Cary office, make sure to mark your calendars for these midweek highlights. Contact Robin Betters (@Robin_Betters) if you’d like to be included in these events.
Wonderful, I will definitely support to spread this across Europe! It is already a very successful weekly theme in the Heidelberg office (Germany), so cheers to Wednes-YAYs!!!
Free food. AND games. YAY!!!
