What inspired this Wish List Request?
I'm preparing for a discovery call with a customer, and the ISR I work with described what the customer does. He has production lines where metal parts are being fabricated, and he tracks how long all the steps take and how much of the time is wasted, with the goal of reducing waste. If it were me, I'd want to put the info on value added/non-value added activities and information about all my process steps in a visual form, like a Value Stream Map where I can customize the shapes and steps to represent my process, and have a timeline at the bottom of the VSM that aggregates the information to give me totals for the VA and NVA time, Takt time, and all the other regular Lean metrics.
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?
This would be attractive to people in manufacturing, especially new users that need visual tools. People that have had Lean or Six Sigma training from ASQ are familiar with this.

It is not.
Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of?
