We’re launching a new internal group for anyone who wants to get more comfortable and confident using JMP in their day-to-day work: the JMP Employees JMP Users Group — or JEJUG for short.
Yes, we know… that acronym is a mouthful.
In fact, the first order of business will be to come up with a better name. But behind the placeholder's name is a serious goal: helping employees around the world build their JMP skills, share best practices, and support one another — so we can make faster, clearer, and more confident decisions that strengthen our business.
What is JEJUG?
JEJUG is a monthly user group for JMP employees worldwide. It’s open to all roles and all skill levels, from “I’ve never opened JMP” to “I script everything in JSL.”
Each month, we’ll host a 60‑minute session that combines:
- 30 minutes of focused training or demos (e.g., Getting Started, Data Visualization, Data Cleaning, DOE)
- 30 minutes of Q&A and internal use cases, including practical examples with real-world style data
We’ll support both virtual and in-person participation:
- Virtual sessions so anyone around the world can join.
- Optional in-person “watch parties” in select offices, where local hosts can gather people to attend together and keep the discussion going afterward.
We’re aiming to launch the first session in February, starting with a “Getting Started with JMP” theme.
How it will work
To make this truly global and sustainable, we’re looking to:
- Offer sessions at times that work across Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
- Reuse core content but rotate presenters and Q&A so multiple regions can participate comfortably.
- Build a library of recordings, example files, and how-to resources that employees can access on demand.
Calling for volunteers
To make JEJUG successful, we’re looking for a small team of volunteers. You don’t have to be a JMP expert to help – enthusiasm and reliability are just as important.
We’re especially looking for:
- Regional co-Leads (Americas, EMEA, APAC)
Help host one monthly virtual session in your region, coordinate speakers, and keep the conversation going.
- Site captains (local offices)
Host in-person “watch parties”: reserve a room, manage the Teams connection, and encourage local discussion.
- Content contributors /presenters
Help create short demos, share internal use cases, or walk through live examples during the training portion.
If you’re interested in any of these roles—or even just curious—please fill out the short volunteer interest form or reach out to Jeff Perkinson (@Jeff_Perkinson) or Jamie Young (@JamieYoung) for more details.

Love this! Finance has started to use JMP for some of our reconciliations/analysis. These courses are going to be a fantastic way to build off of this!
