Reflecting on growth and what’s on the horizon
JMP founder John Sall celebrated the major milestones of 2025, including the successful JMP 19 release, organizational growth, and the impactful JMP Reunion event. Looking ahead to 2026, Sall says the company is set to accelerate momentum through our global Discovery Summits, the Early Adopter program for JMP 20, and an ambitious new brand awareness campaign.
Honoring our legacy and navigating JMP’s growth
CEO Jon Weisz shared a tribute to the late JMP retiree Jon Leary with the celebration of a major financial milestone: meeting our Rule of 40 goal for 2025. While we successfully achieved many of our key objectives, Jon emphasized that there is still room for growth, particularly as we act on the feedback and themes identified in the latest Employee Survey.
Weisz also warned against complacency as JMP matures into a market leader, emphasizing a "constrain to innovate" philosophy that limits headcount growth to under 5% to preserve our culture and minimize bureaucracy. To reach our 2030 objectives, we are prioritizing new software revenue and the integration of natural language AI interfaces to keep our product at the forefront of the industry. Our 2026 financial targets are set at $213.5 million in total software revenue with a commitment to maintaining both EBITDA and TSR growth above 25%.

2025 Finance performance and 2026 outlook
Senior Director of Finance Jason Romanos shared that JMP achieved a standout 2025, reaching a 16% revenue growth milestone and returning to Rule of 40 status with a 76% increase in EBITDA. This momentum was driven by successful operational transitions, including the full migration to "JMP First" systems and a significant 47% boost in ecommerce sales. As we look to 2026, we are on track to exceed $200 million in revenue while continuing to prioritize system efficiency and cost discipline to support our long-term growth.
Building momentum through sales efficiency and urgency
Building on a year of strong renewal growth despite regional transitions, Senior Vice President of Sales Michael Scruggs said JMP is pivoting in 2026 to focus on high-quality pipeline development and disciplined deal qualification. We are accelerating deal velocity by implementing modernized sales policies, including a lower $100K threshold for contract negotiations and new performance-tracking metrics. This year's success relies on every team member embracing a culture of efficiency, agility, and urgency to maintain our competitive edge in an evolving market.
Core R&D update: The human impact and philosophy of progress
R&D Director Jules Parris emphasized that JMP’s core mission is to empower users by transforming complex data challenges into essential moments of clarity and relief. As we move into 2026, we are encouraged to approach new initiatives like AI by carefully balancing rapid innovation with ethical responsibility. Ultimately, our success depends on a development culture that treats "imperfection as information," using iterative feedback to drive meaningful impact for our customers.

Senior Director of Marketing Diana Levey shared that our Marketing initiatives center on a multi-year brand expansion strategy designed to promote JMP’s core pillars—Innovative, Interactive, Helpful, Trusted, and Approachable—to a global audience of scientists and decision-makers. This campaign will utilize a strategic mix of owned content, earned media, and paid advertising, with initial experimental phases launching in the U.S. and China. By leveraging events like Discovery Summits and our extensive free statistical resources, we will aim to turn curious learners into powerful advocates to drive our shared goal of organizational growth.
APxJ region update: Resilient performance amidst strategic evolution
Director of Sales ChulHee Min reported that the APxJ region maintained strong performance in 2025 despite the complex exit from the China market, highlighted by a record-breaking year for Korea. Following significant organizational changes and staff reductions, the region is now moving forward under ChulHee’s new leadership with a focus on stabilizing and scaling these successful markets.
Adapting SKP for an AI-driven search world
Despite industry-wide declines in direct website traffic due to AI-generated search summaries, Analytical Education Senior Manager Ruth Hummel shared that the Statistics Knowledge Portal (SKP) remains JMP’s primary engine for reaching new audiences, driving 90% of our non-branded organic discovery. We are evolving our content strategy to prioritize being cited directly within LLMs and AI Overviews, ending 2025 with over 3,400 relevant keyword citations and a major expansion of translated educational resources.
The strategic role of Systems Engineers as trusted advisors
Pre-Sales Support Director Phil Kay shared that JMP Systems Engineers (SEs) are pivotal to our 2026 success by moving beyond technical demos to become long-term, trusted advisors who partner with customers to solve complex scientific and engineering challenges. By experimenting with data-driven modernization and breaking down organizational silos, the SE team aims to replace outdated manual processes with JMP-centered workflows across the global market.
