19.0.4: Release planned 1/20/26 • 19.0.5: Security fixes only • 19.1: Security Freeze 2/19/26 • 20.0: open in main • 20 EA1: 1/22/26
Welcome to the JMP Development Update for January 16, 2025!
We have completed JMP 19.0.4 signoffs and installers are planned to be released in MyJMP for all products on next Tuesday, 1/20. Special thanks to all who worked on setup, development, security reviews and testing for this monthly dot-dot security release! Work concluded with an efficient round of installer testing conducted by Audrey Shull and Hunter Weaver and the completion of many end-of-release tasks by DevOps team members. I know we are all happy to see this release finalized so that customers can get access to the important security fixes it contains.
Meanwhile, the DevOps team has been working on setting up build, install and test infrastructure for JMP desktop products for the new 19.0.5 and 19.2 branches. As Jim Borek noted in his earlier email to development announcing the new branches, the 19.2 branch is now open for bug fixes. Please continue to have 19.2 candidate fixes fixed and tested in JMP 20 wherever possible and be sure to have your fix reviewed before integrating it into the 19.2 branch.
As a reminder, the JMP 19.0.5 branch is open for security updates only. If you are a security champion, you should have access to push third party library updates and other security fixes to the branch. However, if you notice any Perforce access issues, please contact Jim to get them straightened out.
Next up will be our JMP 20 EA1 freeze on Thursday, 1/22. I appreciate all the continued updates being made by development and product management team members on Feature pages in the JMP 20 Features section in Confluence! If you need a refresher on how to create a feature page for an item you plan to highlight in EA1 (or a later EA), please visit Mia’s How-To page here. For a full list of planned dates for the JMP 20 EA program, please visit the JMP 20 dates page here. You should have a reminder on your calendar for 1/22/26 with more details including deadlines for feature pages and videos.
It was great to see so many members of the customer care organization in town this week for their division kickoff, held over in the Education Center. Of course, I always enjoy seeing local members of customer care division teams when I’m in the office, but it’s a rarer treat to see our remote team members from across the US, Europe and Asia in person. Thanks to all who were able to make the trip! Wendy’s update below shares a few more details about their productive week of meetings.
Thanks to Shannon Leslie for sharing the January 13, 2026 product changes for Atlassian products! More details are below.
On January 13, Atlassian rolled out changes to our Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket Cloud sites. A list of relevant changes along with highlighted details and documentation can be found here. The changes include:
- Narrow your Confluence search with more filters
- Filter by more types in Jira search
- Save filters for your project work items
- And more!
Please contact Shannon Leslie or any of the other JMP Atlassian admins with questions. Also check out our JMP Atlassian Q&A Teams channel, where this and other Atlassian information will continue to be shared.

Technical Support and Engagement
- Wendy:
- Happy Friday! User Enablement had a fantastic kickoff this week, with nearly everyone traveling to Cary to reconnect and align our 2026 goals around the user journey. The Support teams found the sessions valuable, and having the event in person made an even greater impact.
- As we are just beginning to catch up on our cases, I’ve included only the case volume data for the Support teams this week. And here are the usual TS JMP Live reports and the link to the Jira filter showing the tickets reported by Support for the last 14 days.

Note from Shannon
We will have a day off on Monday as we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. King is best known for organizing and leading marches and advocating nonviolent resistance during the civil rights movement in the 1960’s. At the March on Washington in 1963, he gave his historic and well known “I Have a Dream” speech. King won the 1964 Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his leadership in the fight for racial equality and his commitment to nonviolence. The movement’s significant legislative wins included the Civil Rights Act of 1964, later followed by the Voting Rights Act (1965) and the Fair Housing Act (1968). Although King was assassinated in 1968 at age 39, we continue today to remember and honor his leadership and the achievements of the movement he led.
So I thought it was particularly fitting today when Trish O’Grady shared with me the following pictures taken by her daughter Chelsea who took her children to see the Buddhist monks (along with their dog!) who are walking for peace as they reached the Charlotte area today - Walk for Peace – Live Map – Dhammacetiya – The Ancient Sacred Buddhist Scripture Stupas. Her grandson Bennett’s note says, “Thank you for giving us hope.” You can read more about the monks’ 2300 mile journey from Texas to Washington DC to promote peace in this WRAL news article or in this article from WBTV in Charlotte. Their walk will conclude with asking the US Congress to recognize Buddha’s day of birth and enlightenment as a federal holiday. The monks are scheduled to walk through Pittsboro and will arrive in Raleigh on Jan. 24.
Hope you all have a great long weekend and stay warm!
