What inspired this Wish List Request?

Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
He wants to do RDD (regression discontinuity design) analysis on JMP Student Edition. RDD by rectangular kernel with a pre-specified width can be done on the current JMP, but (a) there are many other kernel functions in RDD, and (b) the width should be estimated from data. See the following Stata package as an example.

RDD is a popular causal inference method especially in economics and epidemiology.

At least, Stata offers some integrated features for RDD.
