As we head into the final stretch of 2025, I’m grateful for the momentum across User Enablement and for how clearly our work advances our mission: to nurture an active, engaged community of JMP users worldwide—ensuring every user has the tools they need to get all the value out of JMP they can.
Over Winter Break, both Technical Support and Engagement will keep 1–2 team members on call so urgent customer needs are covered without pause. The November survey feedback was especially encouraging—consistent praise for responsiveness, expertise, and care—underscoring that the way we engage truly differentiates JMP.
I also want to recognize the Mastering JMP series as a standout success this year. It’s a model of collaboration between User Enablement—especially Gail Massari—and Global Technical Enablement—especially Laura Higgins. Strong turnout, high satisfaction, and consistently practical sessions made a real impact for users and showcased the best of our collective effort.
Below you’ll find highlights spanning academic programs, getting-started resources, hands‑on workshops, and more, along with a heads‑up on changes like File Exchange retirement and guidance to the JMP Marketplace.
Technical Support
As we look toward the end of 2025, Technical Support is working to complete or complete milestones in our ongoing projects. For example, though our Service Cloud revamp project will continue into 2026, we expect to have a new case layout implemented by year end. We are also working to incorporate feedback from JMP Legal into the updated Support Policies document.
During Winter Break, the Technical Support and Engagement teams will each have 1-2 people available to assist customers with any urgent support issues that arise.
Case of the Month: Below are excerpts from customer survey responses submitted in November for the question “Please provide any comments or suggestions regarding your experience with this case or with JMP Support in general that will help us better serve you.”
Case owner: Kai Janson
- “It's a great software and a great system around it.”
- “Kai Janson was extremely good. Give him a salary raise!”
- “I've always had good support (since JMP8!)”

Customer Engagement
Since JET area the recipients of JMP Store inquiries, we met with the Store team to provide ways to enhance the Buy JMP page as well as the FAQs to assist customers to self-serve with getting their questions answered in a timely manner.
As the new semester begins in January, an enhancement developed in collaboration with Cloud Giants is expected to increase efficiency within JET for RPS Block cases.
Here are quotes from the survey mentioning specific JET members:
“Please provide any comments or suggestions regarding your experience with this case or with JMP Support in general that will help us better serve you.”
Case owner: Corrado Tricoli
- “One person at JMP stood our as exceptional, Corrado Tricoli. When a large institution and a large company have very different methods of purchasing and payment, it makes the task for person in the middle (me) very fragmented and things inevitably go wrong. They did go wrong albeit not irretrievable thanks to Corrado Tricoli who was the glue that held it all together, Corrado was clear and consistent with his instruction, never losing patience with us and for that I am truly grateful. Thank you Corrado.”
Case owner: Dawn Sekelsky
- Dawn Sekelsky and Krystal Barnes are super friendly and amazing at what they do. I was just in the wrong place. Both went above and beyond to make this a success. It would be nice if all support was as good as this. You are fortunate to have these two on your team.
Case owner: Christine Kjellberg
Case Owner: Dawn Sekelsky
- “JMP Support did very well and was responsive to resolve the problem on the same day so I would be able to actually teach and demonstrate using JMP to my students. In my mind, the broader issue is that I shouldn't have had to call for help anyway. It was licensing problem that ideally the automatic process should be smart enough to handle without me need to call for help.”
Academic
The 14th annual faculty user survey was completed, gathering feedback from over 1,700 faculty users, including 400 from Japan. The survey aims to understand how JMP is utilized across academic disciplines and to identify areas for improvement.
- Life Sciences faculty represent the largest user group (47%), followed by Engineering (10%), Agriculture (9%), Statistics & Mathematics (7%), and Business (7%).
- Usage patterns indicate that 48% of respondents use JMP for both teaching and research, 31% for research only, and 11% for teaching only.
The new Academic home page is now live at Academic, with a focus on JMP Student Edition and a design consistent with the main JMP website.
Recent user highlights include faculty development programs at the Indian Institute of Science (IIS) and the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER). The EMEA team delivered an onsite DOE course for the Royal Society of Chemistry and a statistical modeling course at the University of Exeter. The Americas team participated in the AIChE, INFORMS and DSI conferences, engaging with over 150 new faculty and commercial prospects.
