What inspired this Wish List Request?
When editing text in CC-Builder, here:

changing the font size does not automatically adjust the text box dimensions. This can cause text to be clipped, overflow the visible area, or require manual resizing of the text box (which doesn't seem currently possible using the Properties Panel) each time the font size is changed.
I would like the text box to automatically resize to accommodate font size changes, up to a reasonable maximum size or limit.
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
Here is what I would like to see:
-
When I increase the font size within a text box, the text box automatically expands (height and/or width as appropriate) to ensure all text remains visible, up to a defined maximum size.
-
When I decrease the font size, the text box can shrink (within reasonable constraints) so that it remains appropriately sized for the content.
-
The auto-resizing behavior feels responsive and does not cause unexpected jumps or layout issues with nearby elements.
-
If a maximum size limit is reached, text remains editable and visible via scrolling or standard behavior, and the user is given a clear visual indication that the box cannot grow further
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?
As a CC-Builder user, I want the text box to automatically adjust its size when I change the font size, so that my text remains fully visible without requiring manual resizing for common font size changes. These text boxes show important information about options we can modify on these plots and currently changing the font so that it is neatly visible isn't particularly easy or intuitive. One can change the font sizes in global preferences or use Control + Shift + minus on a PC to shrink all of the display fonts at once (zoom out).
Is this an external customer request?
No internal request only.
Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of?
Other software packages have options modifiable through launch dialog, the check-box options are useful but they are increasingly useful if they are easy to adjust display width on so text is visible.
Will this impact a renewal, expansion, or adoption at a customer, and does this put an account at risk if we do not address this?
Likely not, except for the fact that usability and display behavior is an important aspect of the user interface and the overall user experience.
