As we look back on 2025, a JMP Brand Pillar theme that resonates powerfully is Innovation. This year, JMP reinforced its position as a data analysis industry leader, not just through the quality of our software but by demonstrating innovation across the entire company.
Innovation at JMP is about constantly challenging the status quo, from how we build our software to how we operate internally. Here are a few highlights from a truly groundbreaking year.
The power of JMP 19 software release

This release wasn't just an update; it was a major leap forward, delivering significant enhancements that empower our customers to better understand the stories hidden in their data.
"The release of JMP 19 is a testament to our commitment to innovation," CEO Jon Weisz (@Jon_Weisz) said. "It reflects the hard work of all teams to build tools that help people seamlessly access, see, and better understand the stories their data is trying to tell them."
The software's evolution is a shining example of how our innovative employees translate complex technical challenges into accessible, cutting-edge solutions.

Innovating our go-to-market strategy: Sales Modernization

Innovation isn't limited to our software; it extends to how we do business. The JMP Sales Modernization Plan, unveiled by Vice President Randy Moll (@RandyMoll) and slated to launch in the Americas on January 1, 2026, is an innovative initiative designed to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer support globally.
Senior Vice President Michael Scruggs (@Michael_Scruggs) noted that the plan will help JMP grow and scale faster from a position of strength. This strategic shift is an internal innovation, demonstrating how our staff is thinking creatively about how to best support our customers best and prepare the company for future global expansion.

Streamlining operations in Procurement

Even in vital back-office functions, JMP staff innovated to create efficiency. The implementation of Zip, the new system for managing all purchase requests, represents a significant step forward in streamlining Procurement processes.
The implementation of Zip is a key part of the Finance Team's multi-phase Procure-to-Pay roadmap. This operational innovation ensures that JMP's internal mechanics are as modern and efficient as our product. The successful rollout of the Zip tool demonstrates the innovative problem-solving skills of our non-customer-facing teams.

Recognizing the innovative spirit of JMP employees
Our employees are some of the most innovative in the industry, and we love to give them the spotlight. That’s why we’re excited to continue these recognition programs:
Excellence: This prestigious award honors employees who have made exceptional contributions to our company’s success and who truly embody our core values: authentic, accountable, curious, and passionate. Any non-sales employee on the JMP Performance Bonus Plan, excluding directors and above, is eligible for nomination. Winners receive a JMP Elite Program Award trip with one guest. Don't miss your chance to nominate a coworker here!
Elite: Elite winners and their guests were treated to a five-night stay at the exquisite Four Seasons Ko Olina in Oahu from April 8-13. The 34 attendees, including 29 top sales performers, enjoyed unique adventures such as tours of Pearl Harbor, a Diamond Head hike, and a Snorkel Sail. The trip culminated in a special beachfront luau at sunset on the final evening.

A ‘word’ from leadership
During the closing plenary at the Reunion in April, JMP leadership defined their teams' yearly priorities using a single, impactful word (remember, John Sall’s word was syzygy). Throughout this series, we will update you on the status of these team objectives:

Research and Development Senior Director Brian Corcoran (@briancorcoran) (Useful): “JMP Discovery conferences validated our efforts to create products that are useful. Time after time, visitors to Meet the Experts shared stories of how they use JMP and JMP Live to make significant positive impacts to their endeavors within their organizations, and in the lives of those that they serve through their work."

Decision Support Manager Andy Zhou (@andyzhou) (Data-driven): “We’ve made great progress in 2025 toward ensuring policy and organizational decisions are as data-driven as possible, especially surrounding the Americas Sales Modernization efforts. With the sales modernization efforts expected to be rolled out globally in 2027 and beyond, we anticipate that the same data-driven insights will be provided next year to help drive those efforts forward.”

Global Technical Enablement Manager Phil Kay (@Phil_Kay) (Bayesian): “Experimenting, learning, and adapting is how we grow. In 2025, the global SE team experimented with creating short video content around new features in JMP. Together we learned lots about what works – and what doesn't. And we saw loads of great examples of the skills, creativity, and adaptability that we'll need for JMP's growth in 2026.”
