The JMP Digital Operations brought together colleagues from across the organization for its highly anticipated Fall Summit 2025, held at SAS Headquarters. The week-long event blended professional development, team building, and a dash of autumn fun, setting the stage for a productive year ahead.
The Summit kicked off with a warm welcome from Director of JMP Digital Operations John Jones, who encouraged attendees to make the most of the week by connecting with colleagues outside their usual circles and learning about each other’s interests and backgrounds. The tone was set for an event that was not only informative and inspiring but also fun and inclusive.
The Tuesday agenda was packed with updates from each team and functional area within Digital Operations. The Salesforce, e-Commerce, NetSuite, Project Management, and Web teams all shared highlights of what they’ve been working on since the group last met at the JMP Reunion, along with some vision for what they’ll be focusing on as we head into 2026.
Daniel Valente joined the group on Tuesday morning to present on the direction and strategy of AI in the JMP Products. This set the stage for a panel discussion among members of Digital Operations around strategies for employing AI in their work. The conversation explored how AI is transforming workflows, code generation, documentation, and automation, with candid insights into both opportunities and challenges.
The day’s agenda wrapped up with some technical “deep dives” from members of the various teams on things they had developed, requirements, considerations, and their eventual approach. This was highly interactive and generated a lot of discussion among the attendees.
Tuesday concluded with most of the team attending the Carolina Hurricanes vs. Vegas Golden Knights NHL hockey game from the SAS suite at the Lenovo Center. Alas, the home team came up on the short end of a 5-2 game. Still, a good time was had by all of the attendees.
Wednesday was filled with smaller team and project meetings, taking advantage of having staff in town to conduct meaningful, face-to-face discussions.
Before the event, Digital Operations team members were all asked to complete a survey, with the focus on how well the teams collaborate and what measures could be taken to improve in that area. The results had several common themes, including more cross-team sharing sessions, increased documentation that can be found in a central location, and better communication both between teams and to JMP in general.
The JMP Digital Operations Fall Summit 2025 showcased the power of collaboration, innovation, and team spirit. As the organization looks to the future, the lessons and connections forged during the summit will drive success in the year ahead.
