What inspired this Wish List Request?
Too many people still struggle with stacking, splitting, joining, etc. for tables. While doing this is easy, it's still intimidating and not as easy as Graph Builder or Control Chart Builder.
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
We need a faster and easier, interactive way to manipulate tables. Maybe this could dovetail with the new tables and filtering and be done directly in the data table view with some zones that magically appear when dragging columns. For example, selecting a column that contains labels, then dragging it across the top might make a split function happen in real time. Or the inverse: selecting many columns then dragging them somewhere automatically stacks them. This sounds a lot like the Tabulate function that's already available, but I'm thinking it might be part of the data table itself, so no platform would need to be launched.
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?
Get people away from Excel. Save time. The attached video required me to open and populate 2 dialogues (edited out to convey the idea), but dragging and dropping could do the same thing with just 3 click/drag operations.

Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of?
None that I'm aware of.
