Today, we're excited to introduce you to Takumi Saruhashi (@TakumiSaruhashi), a Pre/Post Sales Systems Engineer based in Japan.
On the job
Takumi serves as a vital technical link between JMP software and its users. As a Pre/Post Sales SE at JMP Japan, he works on JMP demos for customers and answers technical questions from customers.
His journey into this technical field was a direct result of his education and early experience. "I studied management system engineering, including statistics, at university," Takumi shared. "After participating in an internship, I joined JMP as a new graduate."
Among his favorite activities at JMP, Takumi highlights internal group learning. "I’m a part of a reading club and video-watching club with JMP colleagues," he said. "It is a fun and meaningful way to learn about statistics and JMP functions with colleagues."
What Takumi enjoys most about his work is the direct impact he has on users. "It is rewarding when JMP helps my customers," he said. "I also enjoy trying out and learning new features of JMP as a statistics lover."
For those starting in his technical field, Takumi offers simple, hands-on advice: "Start by operating JMP a lot!"
Takumi resonates most with the Interactive pillar. "Interactive is my favorite feature of JMP," he said, recognizing how the software's dynamic nature mirrors his hands-on role.
