19.0.1: release 10/14/25 • 19.1: all changes require code review – approval begins 12/11 • 20.0: open in main • 20 EA1: 1/22/26
Welcome to the JMP Development Update for October 10, 2025! I hope you all enjoyed the Global Rest and Recharge Day last week. Thanks to Nick Ruva for kicking off some Perforce database cleanup last Friday so that Perforce could have a bit of time off and come back refreshed. (Thanks to Nick and Melanie for the teams chat about that process that ultimately led to this AI generated image… :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes: )

We have now completed all signoffs for JMP 19.0.1, planned to be available in MyJMP on Tuesday 10/14/25. 19.0.1 includes a number of security fixes that will be detailed in the Security Bulletin for this release (to be posted with prior bulletins here). It also has a fix for JMP 19 Student Edition on the Mac and a Python library fix. My team will soon be preparing infrastructure for the 19.0.2 security release, planned for release in mid-November.
If you are working on any story items for JMP 19.1, please make sure they are represented on the JMP 19.1 features page. We’ll be wrapping up all feature work for 19.1 by our feature freeze date of 10/23/25.
If you will be attending one or more of our upcoming JMP Discovery Summits, please contribute your customer notes to the proper Collected notes page in the JMP Discovery Notes Confluence section here. This is a great place to put those ideas that arrived too late for the 19 feature cycle but would make a great addition for 20! Thanks to Mia Stephens for adding the pages for specific upcoming Discovery sessions.
Also, thanks very much to Tonya Mauldin for presenting on JMP 19 EA feedback at this week’s JMP Dev meeting! If you missed the meeting, you can find the recording here. Thank you to Tonya, Nicole Jones, JMP testers and developers for all their work with customers in the 19 EA cycle! The dev team processes a lot of feedback, bugs and crashes reported by internal and external EA users, and our production release is more complete and stable as a result. We’re looking forward to creating the first EA of this new feature cycle in January!

Thanks to Sarah Sylvestre for working on the Dynamic Data Table Sorting walkthrough.
- I also want to recognize Brian Corcoran, Dan Schikore, Evan McCorkle, John Schroedl, and Julian Parris for recent development efforts related to making JMP more accessible via a keyboard and screen reader. Recently, John Schroedl was able to overcome a technical hurdle that prevented more progress in the past and Dan & Evan supported the effort. While there is still a long way to go, there has already been tremendous progress. Their innovative work is helping to make JMP inclusive and usable by everyone, regardless of how they interact with JMP. This work could add a new twist to how we test JMP, so I also want to thank Shannon Conners and Audrey Shull for being both supportive and excited about it.

Also, thanks to John Sall for passing along the seasonally appropriate cartoon for the CAUSE caption contest for October!
