What inspired this Wish List Request? This was inspired by a customer request. My customer would like to be able to highlight values in the data table based on her criteria. For example, color all the cells that are beyond a user-specified value in red.
Minitab offers a conditional formatting option that allows users to color cells in a worksheet based on a rule like I described above, or using other pre-set rules (out of control, out of spec, most frequently occurring values, etc.): Overview for Conditional Formatting - Minitab
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see. The competitor link above has an image of colored cells in a data table. This could be made available by right-clicking on a column, or it could be a column property.
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided? One of JMP's main competitors offers this, and Excel offers this. It's a familiar feature in other software packages that could make transitioning to JMP easier for some users.
