Why we celebrate Sept. 35
For our newer team members, you might be curious about why we celebrate our anniversary on Sept. 35. This special day commemorates the actual release of JMP’s very first version. While it was scheduled for September 1989, unanticipated delays pushed the release into October. The original JMP team, full of determination, created Sept. 35 to acknowledge the official release date of Oct. 5, 1989. Read more about it here!
This year, since Oct. 3 falls on a Friday, we are celebrating with a company-wide day off. It's a chance for everyone to step away from emails, cancel Teams calls, and take a well-deserved break from coding.
Important dates for global teams
- China: Since Oct. 3 is a national holiday in China, JMP HR will communicate to staff how they can celebrate Recharge Day.
- Germany: Since Oct. 3 is a national holiday in Germany (Reunification Day), all German employees will observe their Recharge Day on Oct. 2.
