Hi SEs,
I wanted you to know that your colleagues from Sales and Marketing have been asking me to share these videos with them. They love them and they are really excited about sharing them with customers and prospects.
We want to get them on JMP’s YouTube channel as soon as possible. Sarah Cromer, JMP Sr Communications Specialist (@SarahCromer ), will help us with this. Please ask her if you have any questions.
Sarah has provided these guidelines so you can ensure your videos meet the required standards.
-
It’s easy to misuse the JMP logo, so avoid using it as much as possible. Viewers will see the logo on the intro and outro bumpers and that is enough.
-
Do not add your own bumpers. Sarah will do this when posting to YouTube.
-
Background music and b-roll footage. Some teams have reached out to Sarah for background music from Envato. If you can find music or footage you like on Envato, send Sarah a link and she can download it for you to use it legally. However, we can only license elements as a company one time, so if it is already used elsewhere you’ll have to find something else. You can create an excellent video without any music or b-roll footage.
-
AI generated voices. We prefer high quality recordings of real JMP humans (in a variety of global accents). If that is not possible, then AI-generated voiceover is an option. But it needs to be done well (JMP pronounced “jump” not “Jay eM Pee”). Reach out to Sarah if you would like to try our Free AI Voice Generator & Text to Speech Online | Murf AI corporate account.
-
Do not include webcam recording of the presenter.
- Videos should be recorded in 1920 x 1080 Format. Use a plain desktop background.
-
Subtitles will be generated through the YouTube platform. Sarah will just need a .txt file of the final script in the video. Actual subtitles should NOT be embedded into the final .mp4. YouTube can also auto-translate subtitles for the viewer, so please minimize text in your video as this will not be translated.
-
Mentions of “JMP 19”, “new in JMP”, etc. These videos can be useful long beyond this release cycle. Please don’t mention the version number or that these are new in JMP as that will date them. We will host these in a “New in JMP” playlist on the YouTube channel, so you don’t need any mention in the video that these are new capabilities.
I've added these to the page in Confluence.
@brady_brady has embedded your videos in your Team Pages in Confluence so you can more easily share these with anyone interested. In some cases the files were too big so they still link to my OneDrive folder. You may want to compress these for the next versions.
When ready, you can embed your next versions on these team pages. A reminder that we will need these before the Austin SE Summit on 24 October.
Thanks for all your efforts in this important project!
Phil
