Different Python results between JMP 18 and 19. Or maybe between OS Sequoia and TahoeWithout getting into the gory details, I was having problems getting the results from the scipy minimize routine to match output from Nonlinear and Life Distribution. I update both to JMP 19 (running jpip to installed needed packages) and my OS to Tahoe. Now when I run the same Python script in JMP 18 or JMP 19 everything matches. Any ideas what might be going on? I'm attaching the data set and code if anyone who hasn't updated to Tahoe is willing to give it a try. The values you should get are approx. 2.2325 and 13716.73. I was getting values of about 3.01 and 4700 before the updates.
Re: Different Python results between JMP 18 and 19. Or maybe between OS Sequoia and TahoeJMP 20 dev build Sequoia 15.6.1 I get values 2.2325 and 13716.73, Python 3.14rc2
JMP 19 pre release build, Sequoia 15.6.1. Values 2.2325 and 13716.73, Python 3, Python 3.13.5
JMP 18.1.1, Sequoia 15.6.1, values 2.2325 and 13716.73, Python 3.11.10
Maybe stale numpy/scipy packages?...
Re: Different Python results between JMP 18 and 19. Or maybe between OS Sequoia and TahoeI am running on an Apple Silicon MacBook Pro. ( M1 Max) Are you running on Intel?
Re: Different Python results between JMP 18 and 19. Or maybe between OS Sequoia and TahoeApple Silicon, M3 Max. Would installing the numpy and scipy packages in JMP 19 have updated JMP 18? If so, then that's probably the issue.
Re: Different Python results between JMP 18 and 19. Or maybe between OS Sequoia and TahoeNo that's not it, the Python 3.11 site-package cache and Python 3.13 site-packages cache are distinct. JMP 18 uses 3.11, JMP 19 uses 3.13.
