August brought strong contributions across the team. The Academic group made notable progress—collaborating with DTU in Denmark to launch a Master’s program in Digital Manufacturing and leading workshops at Stanford in Chemical Engineering and Nanofabrication. These efforts are expanding JMP’s presence in key industries and helping faculty and students access practical learning resources.
Looking ahead, Mastering JMP and Developer Tutorials will offer a series of live sessions showcasing new features and practical applications in JMP 19. These are great opportunities to explore what’s coming and sharpen your skills.
We also saw a new Marketplace add-in earn a 5-star review, improved email routing for JET, and strong teamwork around a surge in support cases—especially with RPS coordination.
Thanks to everyone for the continued collaboration and momentum.
Technical Support
- In late August, Jasean Rasnake submitted his Custom Floorplan Heat Maps add-in to the Marketplace, which already has a 5-star review!
- Tech Support continues to prepare for JMP 19 Support and update related articles, such as System Requirements, the Deployment Guide, and others.
- No changes to the highest volume case topic. For August, Authorization continues to be the frontrunner, followed by Installation and Crash.
Customer Engagement
- Three AP emails are now routing into Salesforce to JET. They are jmpasia@jmp.com, jmpjapan@jmp.com, and sales.kr@jmp.com. This will provide additional coverage hours as well as trackability of inquiries to these emails. Previously, they were going to Outlook. By mid-September, JMPChina@jmp.com should be coming to JET via Salesforce.
- School is definitely back in session. For August, we will have worked on over 2,000 cases. The majority of our My JMP inquiries have been around RPS. Contract/licensing and sales inquiries were the next highest volume.
- The team has done a phenomenal job handling this large increase in cases and working with Mac in BusOps on RPS to ensure a timely customer response.

Academic
The Materials and Manufacturing Engineering department at DTU – Technical University of Denmark, in collaboration with the JMP EMEA academic team, designed and launched the Master’s program Digital Manufacturing – Industry 4.0 with full-day workshops on August 14 and 15. This program equips students with both a deep understanding and a practical portfolio of tools to optimize manufacturing processes, bridging the three core domains of data, analytics, and digital manufacturing. Each year, 70 students graduate from the program, gaining hands-on experience with JMP to strengthen their skills in machine learning, design of experiments, and data-driven decision-making.
The academic team has been conducting some workshops on designing and analyzing experiments for faculty and Ph. D. students in the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Semiconductor Nanofabrication Laboratory at Stanford University. These efforts are helping seed JMP at a top university in two key industries in our commercial market. These programs don’t offer a traditional statistics course as part of their curriculum. Instead, faculty provide just a few lectures, or students are expected to learn these methods on their own. Faculty and students are very pleased to learn about our free learning resources (STIPS, OnDemand courses, case studies, etc.) that provide a turn-key solution to close this gap.
The Academic Team will be attending and providing workshops at the following upcoming conferences:
- European Network for Business and Industrial Statistics (ENBIS): Sept. 14-18, Piraeus, Greece
- International Association for Statistical Education (IASE): Sept. 30-Oct. 2, Münster, Germany
- Institute for Operations Research and the Mgmt. Sciences (INFORMS): Oct. 26-29, Atlanta
- American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE): Nov. 2-6, Boston
- Decision Sciences Institute (DSI): Nov. 22-24, Orlando
