In the first half of the year, you set individual goals – both business and development. How are things going? Are you making progress? Are you running into roadblocks?
These types of questions should be discussed at each 1:1 conversation, but in Q3, we set aside special time for “Check-in Conversations,” which provide an opportunity to take a deeper dive into our goals and progress, identify areas of continued work and growth, and discuss overall engagement and energy around work.
Use the Q3 Check-in Conversation checklist below to guide your preparations and actions:
- Reflect on your role, work, and level of engagement: How are you feeling about your role? What would you change if you could? What support do you need right now to be successful and feel engaged in your work?
- Watch the “Q3 Check-in: Engagement and Retention” e-learning to help you prepare for your Q3 Check-in Conversation.
- Use the Workday Activity Stream to comment on business goals and progress. Use the PLATO My Development Check-ins tab to comment on development goals.
- Get additional resources on InsideSAS.
- Please contact the appropriate member of our JMP HR team if you have any questions (Chaneen Cummings-Kouassi for Americas, Kyoko Myoko for Asia Pacific, and Paul Mastropolo for EMEA).

Reminder: Share your feedback
In early September, SAS will launch the global Manager and JMP Experience survey to full-time and part-time employees.
This survey is designed to:
- Collect confidential feedback from employees about their managers in areas such as goal setting, feedback, and career development.
- Give managers an opportunity to share areas where they need support and resources to lead effectively and support team performance.
- Track our employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS), a key measure of employee sentiment.
Once the survey launches, you will receive an email from Qualtrics (noreply@qualtrics-research.com) with your unique survey link. You may take the survey any time during the survey window, which will be open 2-3 weeks.
Your feedback is essential as we continue to grow, innovate, and deliver on our strategic goal: To be the company employees want to work for and continue to set the example for workplace culture.
