Changing numeric values

Good morning,

I exported an Excel table that ended up as a data table with columns in character format. However, in these columns the values ​​are numeric between 0 and 5000. My problem is that in character format the values ​​greater than 999 are written like this (1000). And when I change the column to numeric all the values ​​greater than 999 disappear. How can I make these values ​​remain?

So you have extra () around those numbers? You could use Recode for example with Extract Segment

You can also add Parse as Numbers from Recode menu if you wish to but I think it won't convert to Continuous so you will still have to do that in a JMP table anyway.

The problem comes from the fact that the thousands are written with a space (1200 instead of 1200) how can I correct this?
