On Friday, Global Sales teams were notified of a change in how JMP processes orders from customers in India and Malaysia. “Due to the complexity of local government fiduciary requirements, JMP will no longer invoice or process sales in Indian rupee (INR) or Malaysian ringgit (MYR), effective immediately. All orders from India and Malaysia must be processed in U.S. dollars (USD),” said Senior Director of Finance Jason Romanos.
What this change means depends on whether the customer uses the JMP Store or if the customer is invoiced.
JMP Store customers
- Indian rupee and Malaysian ringgit will be removed from the dropdown list of currencies.
- Current INR and MYR customers will still be allowed to access the JMP Store to manage their subscriptions.
- New customers from India and Malaysia will be directed to the USD JMP Store for new subscription orders.
- After a transition period, customers in India and Malaysia will be directed to the USD JMP Store to purchase upgrades or to process renewals.
- Prior to renewal, an email will be sent to customers notifying them of this change and guiding them through the new process.
- Please direct any questions to store@jmp.com.
Invoiced customers
- For invoiced customers in India and Malaysia, any open quotes have been canceled and will be reissued in USD.
- Any orders that have been fulfilled but not paid have been canceled. New UTOFs will be issued in USD for customers to sign.
- Renewal customers who have previously paid in INR or MYR will be processed in USD at their renewal date.
- Effective immediately, there will be no new quotes in INR or MYR.
