I’m thrilled to share some exciting updates from our fantastic teams! This month has been quite lively, with plenty of action happening in our support, education, and outreach initiatives. We focus on providing top-notch resources and effective support for our users, and I’m genuinely proud of the teamwork we’ve demonstrated.
Read on to find the new Tech Support Case of the Month that highlights the unique inquiries that keep the team on their toes.
I encourage everyone to rally behind Ruth and the Education team in their endeavors, with support from the L-CAB, just like Jon Weisz and I are doing.
Technical Support
- For July, Authorization continues to be the highest volume case topic by far.
- We are preparing for JMP 19 Support and updating articles.
Case of the month: Not a case, but sometimes we get very interesting phone calls. Recently, Arn received two calls back-to-back. The first was looking to pay their bill for JMP.chat. The second was looking for support related to some sort of weaponry! It’s never dull in JMP Support!
Customer Engagement
- For July, My JMP, Contracts/licensing, and sales inquiry were the top three topics for JET.
- Worked with Mac Crollman to streamline the RPS manual process he uses to ensure records are processed more quickly.
- Our Salesforce partners at Cloud Giants are working on an automation process that will reduce the manual email process from JET.
- We are working on establishing a new phone number in China and the processes to respond to inbound calls there.
Education
Education is working with the newly formed Learning Content Advisory Board (L-CAB) and other content creators at JMP to accelerate the development of high-quality learning materials, particularly new Statistics Knowledge Portal (SKP) pages and new How-To videos. Over the summer, we wrote about 30 new DOE, quality, and predictive modeling pages, with five new DOE pages and nine new quality pages already live at www.jmp.com/skp. More pages and how-to videos are coming soon.

Academic
- On Aug. 13 and 14, we will be on campus at Denmark Technical University in Copenhagen again. Professor Guido Tosello, who manages the Manufacturing Engineering section at the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, arranged two one-day hands-on workshops on DOE and statistical modeling, and ML for us. While the first workshop will be presented to teaching faculty from the CME department, the second workshop will address researchers and PhD students.
- The JMP Academic team will be delivering a hands-on workshop on Design of Experiments (DOE) at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, IIT Hyderabad, on Aug. 21. This interactive session will introduce participants to the core principles and practical applications of DOE using JMP software, with a special emphasis on addressing real-world challenges in the Biomedical Engineering sciences.
- The Int. Association for Statistical Education (part of ISI) will host the 2025 Satellite Conference “Statistics and Data Science Education in STEAM” from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2 in Muenster (Germany). The academic team will present a hands-on workshop addressing “Multivariable Thinking in Intro Stats – Enhancing STEAM Education with JMP”.
- We’ve connected with an academic/industry innovation center at North Carolina State University (CLAWS). Working with the Director of Workforce Development, we’ve delivered a workshop on JMP tools aligned with semiconductor research and manufacturing. Additional workshops are being planned for the fall semester, as they see JMP as a very important tool they want all their students exposed to.
- Scheduled mid-August to deliver the first in a Design of Experiments workshop series at Stanford University’s Nanofabrication Facility, a center for academic and industry semiconductor research initiatives
