As we reach the midpoint of the year, let's hear from JMP leadership on our company's performance and strategic initiatives over the first half of 2025.
Despite evolving market dynamics and some prevailing economic uncertainties, our collective efforts have driven significant progress, strengthening our position and setting a foundation for continued growth. This update highlights key achievements, outlines our financial health, and offers insights into the strategic priorities that will guide JMP through the remainder of 2025 and beyond.
JMP founder and chair John Sall (@John_Sall) shared a few company updates, including giving kudos to all the work in the last several years to improve business processes like our updated pricing initiatives, Digital Operations, The JMP Store, and ZIP for procurement. Sall also congratulated SAS China on a recent milestone of a direct-pay transaction.
Sall also shared his perspective on the future of AI and JMP. “ChatGPT is fairly good at just answering the questions you pose to it. But JMP is good at much more: exploring, anticipating deeper analysis, and opening up vistas for discovery.” You can read more about JMP’s stance on AI in this InsideJMP article.

First half results
CEO Jon Weisz (@Jon_Weisz) then shared progress on contract transitions and JMP systems, financial results for the first half of the year, and our focus for closing out 2025.
Weisz shared that, although 2025 started in chaos, with lots of systems still in transition, we got it done! “JMP, right now, is selling, contracting, invoicing, collecting fees, procuring, and paying in all our markets,” Weisz said. “It’s a really big deal to transition this company from barely able to invoice and really down in revenue to operating everywhere. It’s really a pretty amazing transformation.”
In terms of financial results, Weisz reported that revenue is up 28% at $86M. “Why is it that high? Well, last year was a slow start, especially in the first quarter,” Weisz said. “So when you look at it year over year, it makes it look artificially high. But it still was a really good half. I expect in the second half of the year to finish up with 18-19 percent growth.”
Weisz says we’ve done a great job of controlling costs and exceeded our EBITDA target by 7 percent, which helped us regain our title as a Rule of 40 company. “If we execute on our goals, JMP can achieve its revenue target for 2025,” he said.
As time marches on and JMP continues to grow, Weisz posed the question of how to scale. “What’s intimidating, if we fast forward several years, JMP will be well past $300M in revenue and more than 700 staff,” Weisz said. “I think it's all about alignment and scalability and using our new systems to the best of their ability.”
Editor’s note: Since the Update was recorded, JMP has surpassed $100M in revenue for 2025!
Midyear Sales Update
Sales Vice President Randy Moll (@RandyMoll) shared midyear metrics for NSR, renewal growth, and JMP Live new adoption.

“Through the lens of these three metrics, you can see that the first half for JMP has been pretty solid,” Moll said.
Moll also shared global highlights and our strategic priorities going into the second half of 2025:

“We’ve had a really solid and good first half. The opportunity, if we execute on it, is we can have a great year building on this foundation,” Moll said. “Thank you to everyone in the JMP Sales family, everybody in JMP for their energy, resilience, and passion in helping our customers. Let’s finish strong!”
