How do I get my Date in Month and year in order on the x axis

Question

I have a data set with column for date in month and year. When I build a graph or a control chart with it on the x axis the dates are not in order. How can I make them in order? Thank you in advance for your help.

Can you format them into dates instead of characters? This way JMP would take care of the ordering. If not, you could use separate "order" column OR use Value Order column property.
