Learn by looking! A comprehensive introduction to JMP's graph functions (Japanese)This section introduces the graph features available in the Graph menu in JMP (excluding Graph Builder).
本動画で説明するグラフのプラットフォームThe graph platform explained in this video
1. Bubble Plot (8 minutes 53 seconds)
- You can add a third variable to a scatter plot to represent the "size" of the plot points.
- Time can be displayed as an animation, allowing you to visually examine changes over time.
- The animation report can be saved in HTML format, allowing you to perform animations in a web browser.
2. Scatter Plot Matrix (6 minutes 25 seconds)
- You can visually check the relationship between each pair of multivariate data at a glance
- Categorical variables (nominal and ordinal scales) can be specified.
3. Parallel Plot (4 minutes 37 seconds)
- Visualize relationships between variables by representing each data row as a line
- You can choose to standardize or not standardize the scale.
- You can create separate plots for each category of a grouping variable.
4. Cell Plot (4 minutes 48 seconds)
- A graph with colors for each cell in a data table
- Visual overview of data tables
- You can identify cells with missing values and learn patterns of missing values.
5. 3D Scatter Plot (4 minutes 56 seconds)
- Display data spatially by assigning variables to the three axes X, Y, and Z.
- Rotatable graph display allows analysis from various angles
- You can display density and probability ellipses for each group, allowing you to compare distributions between groups.
6. Contour Map (4 minutes 22 seconds)
- Represents 3D data in 2D, showing height as contour lines (colors and lines)
- Contour lines can be displayed in gradation using colors
7. Triangular diagram (5 minutes 4 seconds)
- Visualize data when the sum of the three composition ratios is constant (e.g. 100%)
- By specifying the calculation formula for the contour lines, the contour lines can be displayed in gradation by color.
