JMP 13 Little Details: New transforms

Since variable transformations were introduced in JMP 11, they’re proven indispensable for staying “in the flow” during an exploration of data. They give you the power of a new formula column without leaving your analysis.

We’re always adding more inline transformations, often based on customer requests.

JMP 13 adds inline transformations for quantiles (with by group support), random samples, and richer moving averages:

 

Moving average weightings include exponential, linear and equal.

 Moving averages on the fly - I didn't know you can do that.  Simple versus exponential - now that's a discussion that goes on and on
