Remember the seamless, polished look of our 2025 Kickoff? What seemed effortless was, in fact, the result of a monumental effort, transforming our 4th-floor lobby into a full-scale production studio. The success of that endeavor, despite a surprise snowstorm, sparked an exciting realization: we needed to keep this elevated visual standard going for our internal and external messaging.
And so, the idea for a permanent recording studio was born.
The studio is still a work in progress, but here's a sneak peek! We're thrilled to announce that after significant planning, design, and installation, the JMP Recording Studio is now a reality, located in A4111 at SAS world headquarters.
What is the JMP Recording Studio?
The JMP Recording Studio is a dedicated, state-of-the-art facility designed to create high-quality, professional video content. It isn't just a repurposed conference room; it's a meticulously crafted environment with professional-grade cameras, audio, display, and technical equipment, all designed to deliver a consistent and recognizable JMP brand experience.
The visual elements you'll see in the studio and lobby were brought to life by the incredible talent of the SAS Print Center and Scenic Team, whose expertise was invaluable in creating such an energizing space.
Look for future webcasts and webinars recorded in this space! This studio represents a significant step forward in how we communicate, both internally and externally. Its benefits include:
- Elevated internal communications: Get ready for even more polished and engaging internal communications, starting with upcoming Company Updates and annual Kickoffs. These will now be filmed in a dedicated, professional setting, enhancing the impact and clarity of messages from our leadership.
- Enhanced external presence: The studio will be instrumental in producing high-quality customer-facing video messages, including product updates, and highlights from our fall product release and launch activities. It will allow us to present a more consistent and professional image to our customers, reinforcing our brand and showcasing our innovations with greater impact.
- Future possibilities: While we're starting with key leadership messages, we envision a future where the studio will be used for a broad range of assets, including feature and company highlights, one-on-one interviews with leadership and customer advocates, and important internal information segments. This studio will help us tell our story more effectively and dynamically.
How can the studio be used?
The JMP Recording Studio is a highly specialized space, requiring significant technical expertise and resources to operate. It is not a "plug-and-play" room, nor is it set up for live broadcasts like Teams meetings or webcasts. Each recording session requires external contractors for production, in addition to our JMP Production team members who juggle these efforts with their regular responsibilities in Global Live Events, Stat Speaking, and the Discovery Seminar Series.
Given these specialized requirements and resource demands, access to the studio will be rolled out gradually. “For the next six months or so, the studio will primarily be used for senior and executive leadership messaging only,” Marketing Manager Jeff Hudgins (@jhudgins) said. "This measured approach ensures the team can maintain the highest quality standards and manage the significant resources involved. We are already receiving a great deal of interest, and while we appreciate the enthusiasm, please understand that we are rolling out the availability process slowly."
After the initial period, the team will assess overall corporate messaging needs and staffing bandwidth to explore potential broader uses of the studio.
Introducing the JMP Production and Design team

JMP Marketing is strengthening its team with new permanent staff. Hudgins and Senior Events Technology Specialist Henry Moore (@HenryMooreThird) continue to be the backbone of our major internal and external events. We've also welcomed Principal Digital Designer Ed Harriss (@EdHarriss), who will create digital, print, and video assets globally, supporting JMP events and marketing and maintaining our visual corporate identity.
Jeff, Henry, and Ed form the new JMP Production and Design team, led by Hudgins. This team will manage production and design for all in-person and online events like Discovery Summits and product launches. They're also tasked with setting visual brand standards to ensure consistent, high-quality content across all JMP endeavors.
